AN thread
[edit]Hi there, sorry you got mixed up in that. You haven't done anything wrong (that's why I "hatted" the list to hide it). I can't be sure, but I think the editor who put you on that list did so because you were using the "Newcomer task: copyedit" module and created your account in the last week. From your username, edit summaries, and edit patterns, I'm confident you have nothing to do with the editathon group that is causing problems.
By the way, I had a look at the draft in your sandbox, and it looks to me like you've been manually adding URLs as citations. Did you know that Visual Editor has an automatic citation generator? You can access it by clicking the "cite" button in the top toolbar of the editing window. Now that you've already added the URLs, you can also click on each one and hit "convert" to get the same effect. This uses the metadata on the target page, so it's not always correct - but it's almost always better than a bare link.
Happy editing, and sorry for the alarm. -- asilvering (talk) 20:34, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oh whew, ok, thank you so much. I got a little worried there for a minute.
- I didn't know that! I'm going to check that out next time I'm on my desktop. Thank you again!
