Pape Village

[edit]

Please stop adding POV and incorrect information to the article. The statement that there is ample free parking, is an opinion, not fact, unless you can source it with a verifiable and reliable source (see WP:V). None of the existing references sourced on the page make any reference to the quality or quantity of the parking supply. Similarly, the statements in respect of the Baptist church also need to be sourced. The reference to the Bank of Montreal being the only bank not present in the Village is incorrect. Finally, why is it necessary to reference King's Park Blvd. being in close proximity to Pape Village? So what? There are dozens of streets in close proximity to Pape Village, and King's Park Blvd. is not particularly noteworthy to merit special mention. Skeezix1000 14:17, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Pape Avillage4.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pape Avillage4.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:07, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Edit summaries

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. - Skeezix1000 15:03, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Theorello, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Ruthless2.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Theorello. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Puslinch_GoogleEarth_image.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Puslinch_GoogleEarth_image.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 00:58, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
