Hosting of Chicago Food Truck Festival
[edit]In this edit you removed the text The festival is hosted by the City of Chicago’s Small Business Center, and now takes place at Daley Center.
, But the cited source: Rothman, Stephanie (May 4, 2017). "Food Truck Festival: Fueling Local Small Businesses". Medill Reports Chicago. Medill News Service. Retrieved 27 June 2018.
readsThe City of Chicago’s Small Business Center hosts the festival, celebrating the wide array of small business food trucks in the Chicago area. The festival at Daley Center hosts 13 trucks cooking up a variety of cuisines...
Is this source incorrect, or was this true only for 2017, or what? DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 19:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes this source is incorrect. It is not a festival. The City hosts food trucks during lunch hour. Whereas the Chicago Food Truck Festival is a two day festival bringing together 50 plus trucks.
- Oh I see. Is there a source you know of that we could Cite that says that this is different than the festival proper? To get the facts correct and avoid confusion?
I do thank you for your work on this article, although I am not sure that the section on the history of food trucks in general belongs here. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 19:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Should I delete it?
- I would suggest a rather briefer mention, along with a wiki-link to an article about Food trucks or their history, perhaps using the "Main article" template. But that is merely a suggestion, the issue is one of editorial judgement, not a policy matter. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 15:58, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Outing
[edit]Please be extremely cautious when discussing an editor's off-wiki presence, as revealing information about them they have not revealed themselves on-wiki is considered to be a form of harassment and can result in blocks. Also, you mentioned that you were taking screenshots of a private FB group - not only are they irrelevant to the deletion discussion, they could fall under our outing policy, so please do not upload or link to them. Primefac (talk) 22:00, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for the policy advice. However, this is very relevant as I am a member of a specific group and I saw people attempting to do wrong. I came here to contest their deletion. And I have proof. Do I block out my name as well as their names and only show what they wrote? As if not they are labelling me as a sockpuppet when in fact I am the one who saw what they were attempting to do.Thelegaldude (talk) 22:03, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- If you want to contest the deletion, contest it at the AFD itself. It doesn't particularly matter who nominated the page, or how they found it (or how you found it), or even if they have a vendetta - if they have a valid concern about the page, then the discussion should proceed. If they are right, the page gets deleted. If you are right, the page gets kept. Primefac (talk) 22:08, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
