Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ralph Nader, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -kotra (talk) 18:39, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am new at this, but I was just putting the full quote from the article. I thought it had been taken off for sounding too anti-nader, but I thought it gave perspective on the list in question. I don't see how that is not counstructive, as it just the full quote from the article. - thejka 10:52, 30 November 2008 (PTC)

Sorry, you were right. I thought you were just adding your own opinion to the quote, and I carelessly didn't check the citation. I've reverted myself back to your version. Thanks! -kotra (talk) 23:44, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage

[edit]

You don't need to remove the stuff on your userpage about who you like/dislike. There's nothing wrong with stating your opinions on your userpage, as long as they don't affect how you edit wikipedia. -kotra (talk) 18:50, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice. I saw your page and I thought about keeping it (by the way, nice of you to put yourself at full disclosure). But after this whole suspicion of sockpuppetry, I don't want to take any chances. I edit things for fun, but it's not fun when you are accused of being a fake account. I sympathize. I'm here for fun too, and unneeded drama isn't. If you're innocent, don't worry about it, the checkuser should clear it up. -kotra (talk) 02:15, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How long will it take to clear it up? And if and when it is clear, will I be deleted off the page or something? Thejka (talk) 02:18, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No clue. Sockpuppet investigations can take anywhere from 15 minutes to weeks. Recently, though, they've been faster, so I'd say within a few days. If the checkuser turns up no relation between this account and those other accounts, you can remove all mention of this business from this page and go about your business as before. I think maybe you can already as per the talk page guidelines, but I'm not 100% sure about that. -kotra (talk) 02:39, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-evaluated my CheckUser findings and changed them to  Inconclusive. I had made a slight miscalculation in determining the proximity of your location and the location of Griot and his socks. I apologize for this error! Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 18:24, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
