Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Dear Thefroman: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! Arundhati bakshi

I added a user box...hope U don't mind buddy!!.

Thanks for uploading Image:180px-S2005.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. bluemask 09:58, 20 January 2006 (UTC)-->[reply]

Vandalism of my User Page

[edit]

I notice that on March 23, a user known only by an IP address of 66.144.179.85 vandalized my page with text claiming that I was performing an act of quote "internet bullying" to user:Jimmy-james. The text also claimed that I was a quote "horse humping bitch", and that they preferred to remain anonymous. I have now discovered that this IP is the you, user:Thefroman, trying to hide your identity. First off, the vandalism was completely uncalled for you, and will earn you a block if it continues. Second, being an officer of the basic rules of Wikipedia is not "internet bullying"; your friend, User:jimmy-james, violated copyright laws by displaying fair use images on his user page, and I did as any other decent wikipedian would do - I informed him of this violation. Third of all, behaving like a five year old on Wikipedia and calling people "retarded" will get you nowhere. Fourth of all, You cannot fool me by going on some other IP address, it just doesn't work. And lastly, you are the internet bully in this case, and if vandalism of my page continues, you will be blocked. I hope that you will find the maturity in yourself not to continue this destructive behavior. Weatherman90 16:26, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair Use Images

[edit]

I have removed several fair use images from your page that violate copyright laws per WP:FUC, although, as a fellow conservative, I do heartily appreciate your loyalty to our President and our country. Weatherman90 16:33, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
