CSD / notability

First, I'd like to say that I removed the redirect from your talk page. You need to have a talk page if you continue to edit. My sincerest sympathies go out to the victim and his loved ones. However, if you do not wish to be contacted (i.e. if you do not wish to have a talk page), then consider taking a break from Wikipedia until you feel otherwise. Active editors need to have talk pages.

Now, the real reason I came here was this:

It's not a big deal, I just wanted to clear up a common misconception. CSD#A7 only applies to articles which make no claim of notability. If an article makes a claim of notability but it is mistaken or disputed -- i.e., if the subject is arguably not notable, but the article takes the position that he is -- then the article cannot be speedily deleted. (Obviously spurious claims, like "KM pwns 4eva! He's the coolest guy in the world!", are obvious exemptions.)

If I can be of any help, please let me know. - Revolving Bugbear 21:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't read the article, I was pointing out that A7 covers non-notability. It wasn't directed towards that article. Thedjatclubrock :-) (T/C) 22:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC).

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 11:00, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
