Recent edits
[edit]Your edits at The Equals raise a number of concerns. Firstly, they are not supported by reliable sources. Secondly, they appear to be promotional rather than neutral. Thirdly, your user name (which I think you may need to change) suggests that they may represent a conflict of interest. If you are associated with the Equals or any of the band's members, you are advised not to edit the article. I've reverted your edits, pending further discussion. However, I'm happy to help to make sure that the article accurately reflects the current situation regarding the band (I've edited the article quite a lot in the past), and I strongly suggest that you raise your concerns about the article on the article talk page, so that an uninvolved editor can make the necessary changes while keeping within Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks. Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:33, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
Your editing and your user name
[edit]Hello, The Equals. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page The Equals, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. - Hi -I have been an admin user on our Wiki page for years. My name is Patrick William Lloyd and I am the trademark owner of The Equals® in Europe and UK. I am also the only original band member that is active and playing under our brand/trade name The Equals. Anything I edit on this page is truthful or are changes to the line -up. Other than Eddy Grant who is my business partner, no other Equals original members are current band members under the legal name/brand The Equals®, so anything that is written, I check and edit as we have millions of fans who know are keen to know on what is current and truthful. I changed my user name from The Equals to The Equals49 for security reasons. Thank you 82.46.113.86 (talk) 11:39, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
