Universal Soldier: A New Dimension

The Expendables 2

Hi, Castbreeder. We cannot have articles about films that have not entered production yet. We have notability guidelines for future films that say to wait until filming is verified to have begun before having a stand-alone article and to report discussion at another article. That is why I redirected to the "Sequel" section. For example, I am working on Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter#Planned film and waiting for filming to hopefully begin so I can create a stand-alone article. Any chance you can do the same? That is also why people at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Terminator 5 (film) are saying to redirect. It's just too soon right now. The threshold to create an article is the start of filming because it is far more likely that we will have a film when that happens. A lot of projects in development are more likely to go nowhere. The first film's article went through AFD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Expendables (2010 film) and was deleted. You can see here that the article has a history of being deleted. It is good that the film was made, that means we have an article for eternity. We didn't know that at the time, though, like with the other projects in development. For example, Shantaram (film) was planned for some time but never got off the ground, so it does not warrant its own article. I just recommend working on the "Sequel" section at The Expendables and moving it to the article if filming begins. Erik (talk | contribs) 12:04, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

What about an incubated article that we can move back into the mainspace if filming begins? We can have the "Sequel" section at the first film's article that summarizes development and casting so far.
