MGS3

[edit]

sorry, i meant the MGS3 character list. I'm pretty sure sokolov gets killed. I don't no if you have the game but during the cutscene where volgin catches snake impersonating Raikov, he shoots Sokolov twice in the leg and the viewer is left to assume he is dead. Copyediting

[edit]

Sure, what would you like me to look at? --Bookgrrl 16:03, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Took a look at it, did some copyediting, minor reorganization, little bit of cleanup/tidying. Hope it suits. --Bookgrrl 03:12, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Flash.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Flash.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Copyeditting request

[edit]

If you mind, could you copyedit a article, 7:00AM-8:00AM (24 Season 5), because since I wrote the majority of the article, I can't really see any misyakes. --Twlighter 21:42, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, thanks. --Twlighter 12:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC

Awesome, now it's almost GA-quality. By the way, do you need some help on the Twin Snakes article? I read the deal you made with AMiB. Seems like a alotta work for one person. --Twlighter 13:59, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crusaders GA status

[edit]

Hey, thanks for reviewing the article and giving it the nod. Are there any areas of the article that you think are particularly weak or strong and why? I'd really appreciate the feedback. Thanks. - Shudda talk 04:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm?

[edit]

Who do you think IS the young snake-looking guy at the end of the new MGS trailer? Hideo is being mean to us, indeed, teasing us with this and that. Hmph. I honestly have no idea, and that is what makes me all crazy on the inside.

I'm here Bread.

OUT. Le Peregrine 04:21, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, yeah. I'd love to know but obviously I am not getting a PS3 anytime soon. (I'm not rich.) A gaseous snake would be the last thing I would ever hope for. (The fact that Liquid lives ooon in Ocelot's arm is enough for me.) Hideo said it himself though, some legends must die. Whomever he is... maybe he's working with this new "foxhound" Meryl speaks of, eh? Hm... Or maybe he's just there to make us speculate over who he is. Aye. Well, good luck affording (monetarily) finding out when ya can.

Heh, I just sourced that bit about her originally having a recurring role and then getting made a regular (from a new article in the Independent). It's already a GA, but I just thought you'd like to know.... Mad Jack 16:21, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If I'm a bit pale in the face now,
it's because of the amazing support
during my recent request for adminship
and because of all those new shiny buttons.

And if in the future
my use of them should not always be perfect
please don't hesitate to shout at me
any time, sunset, noon or sunrise.

Thanks

Hi there The Bread, thanks a lot for your support to my recently concluded RFA. I think you are doing good yourself and if you continue to put in good edits to the various aspects of wikipedia, your next attempt will be much more likely to succeed. Dont let this one put you down. And let me know if I can be of any assistance at all -- Lost(talk) 10:36, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the extra feathers on my wings!

Thank you so much, The Bread, for your support in my RfA, which passed on November 11, 2006, with a final tally of 82/0/2. I am humbled by the kind support of so many fellow Wikipedians, and I vow to continue to work and improve with the help of these new tools. Should you have any request, do not hesitate to contact me. Welcome to Esperanza!

[edit]

Welcome, The Bread, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

RfA thanks

[edit]
Hi Bread, and thanks very much for your support during my recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 64/0/0. I am grateful for the overwhelming support I received from the community, and hope I will continue to earn your trust as a expand my participation on Wikipedia. It goes without saying that if you ever need anything and I can help, please let me know. Wait, I guess it does go with saying. ; ) --cholmes75 (chit chat) 15:27, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes, you just gotta say it.

Since you showed support in the Virtual classroom at the MfD, I thought you might like to learn about what's been happening there...

Virtual classroom moving right along

[edit]

We've moved on to our second lesson, though each lesson is continuous so that we can all benefit from the experience of new visitors as they arrive. I expect to learn a lot more from the interface share and compare discussions, for instance. So far, I've created a new tools page accessible from my userpage menu, inspired by all the ideas shared in those discussions.

The current lesson focuses on "stubbing," with a short course to kick off discussion provided by our resident expert on the subject, Grutness. Please feel free to add your expertise and questions.

To help keep track of what's going on, here's a template you can place at the top of your userpage or talk page:

Hope to see you at the Virtual classroom again soon.  The Transhumanist    14:38, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the support

I'd like to express my huge thanks to you, The Bread, for your support in my recent RfA, which closed with 100% support at 71/0/1. Needless to say, I am very suprised at the huge levels of support I've seen on my RfA, and at the fact that I only had give three answers, unlike many other nominees who have had many, many more questions (also, I'm surprised that you liked my name - it was automatically generated when "Martin" wasn't available (on another site))! I'll be careful with my use of the tools, and invite you to tell me off if I do something wrong! Thanks, Martinp23 14:24, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your support!

[edit]
A week ago I nominated myself, hoping to be able to help Wikipedia as an administrator as much as a WikiGnome. I am very glad many others shared my thoughts, including you. Thank you for your trust! Be sure I will use these tools to protect and prevent and not to harass or punish. Should you feel I am overreacting, pat me so that I can correct myself. The fact that you did not verified me against your criteria but trusted what you have known about me is very motivating. I will work very hard to pay you back in responsible actions and judgement. Thanks again! ReyBrujo 23:53, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

[edit]
Oh, the humanity!

I had my doubts about a second RfA, but even I couldn't have predicted the way it caught fire and inexorably drifted to the ground in flames, causing quite a stir on its way down. Still, it was encouraging to see the level of support and confidence. Thank you for yours, and I hope I'll still have it the next time around. Kafziel Talk 13:35, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for voting

[edit]

I appreciate the feedback that I received during the RfA process. Unfortunately, I withdrew my candidacy. However, your participation is appreciated. I have made my New Years Resolution (effective immediately) to attempt to vote on at least 50 WP:XFD/week (on at least 5 different days), to spend 5 hours/week on WP:NPP, to be active in WikiProjects and to change the emphasis of my watchlist from editorial oversight to vandalism prevention. I have replaced several links that I had on my list to some that I think are more highly vandalized (Tiger Woods, Barry Bonds, my congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., my senator Barrack Obama and Jesse Jackson). My first day under my newly turned leaf was about what I hope a typical day to be. I quickly found a vandal, made a few editorial changes to Donald Trump, voted at WP:CFD and WP:AFD, continued attempted revitalization of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chicago and proposed a new stub type as a result of WP:NPP patrol. I hope this will broaden my wikipedia experience in a way that makes me a better administrator candidate. I hope to feel more ready to be an admin in another 3000 or so edits. Metal Gear Template

Hi there, The Bread. I'm not a registered member, I just edit some articles every so often, but I had one idea. How about voting to choose which template should stay for Metal Gear? WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, WP:AGF. Do you realise what an incredibly bad advert for Esperanza this is? That kind of comment is completely inappropriate and quite frankly worthy of a block. Any more posts like that and I will have zero hesistation posting at WP:ANI requesting a community block. Moreschi Deletion! 21:49, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why we have to assume good faith, what if something is done in bad faith, like what I believe the Esperanza MFD was done in, do we just ignore it?
