Your edits to But I'm a Cheerleader

[edit]

Hi TheStuffWillDriveYouNuts, thanks for your edits to But I'm a Cheerleader and other film articles. I have reverted you edit to But I'm a Cheerleader because, for the most part, they are unnecessary changes or do not conform to the general style guidelines and film style guidelines. A few examples of what I reverted are:

  • wikilinking names that are already linked not far above
  • Full names of actors that have already been mentioned above
  • Removing the bolding of cast & character names - this is a matter of personal taste, allowed by the film style guidelines and allows the names to stand out in the text.
  • Removing non-US release dates from the infobox (see WP:FilmRelease)

But I'm a Cheerleader is a featured article. This means that the community has decided that the current version (or one very similar) is a high standard. Of course, this doesn't mean that the article cannot still evolve, but in my opinion, the edits you made were not beneficial to the article. If, after reading the style guidelines you disagree with me (which is perfectly reasonable!), I would appreciate it if you discuss any changes on the article talkpage first. Then we can come to agreement over the development of the article. By the way, if you are interested in editing film articles, you may like to join WikiProject Films.
