[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:NoraSpringsWaterTower.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:30, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Mason City High School (Mason City, Iowa) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Information icon Hello, TheStraggler. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 04:19, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 14:23, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have been blocked and I am unsure what I have done wrong, I am fairly new to editing. I've listed the links to the information I found and posted on the pages I have edited. If someone could clarify what I need to fix in my way of editing that would be great. If I need to reword the information I found instead of copying it from the direct website and then pasting it into the article. I've have tried changing the wording a little, but apparently not enough. I want to understand how to use Wikipedia the correct way, and I think better explanation for me would help, or if someone could show me and explain on how to. I do appreciate it if someone could explain. Thank you.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:06, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have fully understand why I have been blocked. I was block for copying and pasting which made it look like I was trying to create a encyclopedia, which is not what Wikipedia is for. I will stop copying and pasting information as its against Wikipedia guidelines. For an example I need to not copy and paste someone's else work from a website outside of Wikipedia and using It as my own. Instead I need to re word what the information in my own words so its not plagiarism and then put it on to Wikipedia article. Then make a reference indicating where I got the information. I will no longer cause damage to Wikipedia's site and I will ask for help if I am unsure if it will violate the guidelines before I make my edit official. For example using my sandbox to practice or ask another editor on there talk page. Then when it not violating Wikipedia guidelines, I will then put it on the article and it will hopefully then be useful contribution for others that are looking up the article on Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

You seem to be on the right track, but your unblock request is difficult to understand and does not inspire confidence. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, but you seem to be saying that it isn't. I'm not sue what you think it is? You also can't superficially reword what someone else has already written. This is known as close paraphrasing. What you need to do is summarize what a source says in your own words. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:54, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand why I am blocked from editing on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia where you make summaries of articles online and share it to Wikipedia. Where you summarize it enough and it isn't consider plagiarism. I was doing the exact opposite of what Wikipedia is meant to be used for. I was copying it directly from articles and claiming it as my own work and putting it into Wikipedia pages. When you are supposed to paraphrase it and then share it. I will no longer do that, and instead I will put it into my own words before I share the information to Wikipedia. I will strictly follow Wikipedia's rules and be open to any suggests people have to help me with my editing.

Decline reason:

None of this is close to an accurate summation of Wikipedia's function and purpose, and suggests that you haven't actually read the rules that you claim you intent to follow. From this and your previous appeals it looks very much as though you lack the understanding to edit here, and as such, responding to your continued unblock requests is a waste of administrators' time. I have removed your access to edit this page; if at some point you are able to formulate a coherent appeal that demonstrates an understanding of what Wikipedia is and how it works, as well as the issues that you caused by your actions, then you may use the unblock ticket request service to make an appeal by email.
