SPI Thanks

Thanks for this. I thought closing was clerks only as well. Will do so going forward. Star Mississippi 14:10, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

@Star Mississippi: You're welcome! I admin patrolled for quite a while before becoming a clerk. Admins do have fairly wide latitude and their help is greatly appreciated. The only things really that you can't do are archive, endorse, or CU/clerk decline cases I would say...at least that I can think of off hand. Clerks can't close and archive the same case entries and there aren't many of us, so having an admin close ones they've otherwise completed frees us up to review and archive. Oh that's super helpful to know, thank you. Definitely happy to pitch in and take load off clerks as CU/Clerk beyond my tech skill set so not anything I could ever apply for and help with in that front. Have a good evening. Star Mississippi 23:11, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from Nautical Study (01:09, 7 December 2024)

Hello! My area of expertise is primarily the merchant marine and nautical history. How do I search for articles in need of expansion for those topics specifically? --Nautical Study (talk) 01:09, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello Nautical Study! That is a very good question. You'll ultimately have to look around (find a nautical article or articles and click links etc to see what you can find), but perhaps take a look through these categories for articles/ideas to start? Category:Nautical terminology, Category:Nautical fiction, Category:Nautical television series, Category:Nautical historical novelists, Category:Nautical reference works, Category:Nautical comics, Category:Nautical charts, Category:Nautical Development Corp., Category:Nautical slang.
WP:REFB and WP:TWA are both worth a look if you need any help with editing. If you have any questions, please do feel free to ask here or at the Teahouse; you'll probably get faster responses at the Teahouse, but I will eventually get back to any questions and am happy to help. (Please remember that we're all volunteers doing this in our free time and can't always respond quickly.) TheSandDoctor Talk 19:35, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
