Please Comment on List of most visited museums
Dear Promenader: Could you add your eloquent voice to the discussion on the List of most visited museums? one editor has put the Forbidden City (which he calls the Palace Museum), at the top of the list, though this is contradicted by the main sources for the list, the TEA-AECOM survey and the Art Newspaper annual survey, both of which put the Louvre first and the National Museum of China second. Neither list mentions the Forbidden City at all. He justifies the placement based on his own very broad definition of a museum, taken from the UN, and the number of visitors cited by the China Daily; though the China Daily in its own reporting ranks the Louvre and National Museum of China as the most visited museums, based on TEA-AECOM and the Art Newspaper.
