Please help me with... When calculating the total votes for Council Elections in bloc First Past the Post seats (example: everyone in that seat can vote for 2 candidates instead of one) how should I work out the number of votes of a party when I total up all the party votes? - Oh, I didn't see this until after we talked on IRC. From looking at your contributions, it seems that you're talking about elections in the UK. My advice remains to ask on the talk page at WikiProject Politics or WikiProject Elections. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 09:08, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Taskforce and East Hants
[edit]Hello, I see you've signed up the the Local Elections Taskforce and been updating East Hants. I've been updating other parts of Hants (Winchester/Hart) and have been planning on working my way through the other districts, but just wanted to check if there were any you were planning on doing so I didn't tread on any toes! Also not sure if you got an answer, but in response to your above question on numbers of votes for each party, I believe the common method is to just count the top party candidate in each seat - i.e. if theres two Greens in one ward, only count the top one for the results summary. See the note on this page for example.BryceIII (talk) 13:46, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I've been doing some work on the East Hampshire Local Elections and I've finished with the infobox and table for 2015 page, and I'm nearly finished on making the 2019 page. Thanks. --TheOWOTriangle (talk) 15:01, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
