Thom Brennaman Edit

[edit]

Hey TheGalach,

I saw that you recently made an edit to Thom Brennaman, in which you named him a former sports broadcaster. Do you have any sources that constitute his retirement? Otherwise, since he was only suspended, he is not a former broadcaster. Thanks!

Hi Rubberducky785,

Thanks for your message. I consider the chances of his ever working in a public broadcast role to be nil, so I thought we might as well acknowledge that. I also don't expect him to formally announce a retirement, so I'm not sure when that line is crossed when he can be considered "former." But I hear your point.

Hey TheGalach,

Good point. I get it now. To be truthful, I guess I was in a bit of denial that such a great broadcaster's career would end this way. Thanks!

Thanks. You are correct though. He was only suspended, not fired (yet) by the Reds, so it shouldn't be former just yet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:1304:49D0:F0D3:4CC3:B293:3783 (talk) 06:33, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
