Please join the ANI discussion regarding your editing, especially before trying to change any more names in articles.–CaroleHenson (talk) 03:08, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, hi @CaroleHenson: I undid edits that I hastily believed to be the non-consensus versions. It wasn’t anything to do with trying to restore my own favorite version of the content - I simply misjudged the situation and I apologize - I will take my time and refrain from making changes to any names until I understand more about how this works. I joined primarily to fix grammar and undo vandalism. I will be thoughtful and careful about that, too.
As you might see, I tried to reach out to Dr.K. to offer the same apology, but I am disheartened that Dr.K. undid my message and hasn’t responded to the one I left here. I have a lot of respect for doctors and I sincerely meant no offense by undoing those edits. TheCROW (talk) 03:56, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great, TheCrow!!! I don't know if you saw it, but I posted a message there, just to give a bit more clarity about the issue:
I see that you are editing a large number of articles and changing or adding to the names of the subjects of the articles. It appears, though, that you are making these edits without the addition of a citation. Before adding content, you should be adding citations of reliable secondary sources. In addition, in some cases you appear to be changing the name to someone's birth name, rather than their common name, which is also an issue. Please don't make any more changes to names of subjects of articles without complying with these guidelines. I would be happy to talk through what you are doing and how to do this without making what are called disruptive edits, meaning edits that need to be reverted because they do not meet guidelines.
I also advise that you post a message on the ANI talk page. I totally get that it takes some getting used to talk pages. See Talk pages. Also, I don't know if your interested, but there are two kinds of tutorials here: The Wikipedia Adventure and standard tutorial.–CaroleHenson (talk) 04:41, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

[edit]

Hi @Dr.K.:, I see that you removed the apology I left on your talk page, and I’m sorry - I suppose I should have asked first before I left any comments. I will post my comment here instead, and I hope you see it and have no hard feelings:

I noticed that you undid some of my edits. I don’t think I was looking carefully enough and ended up undoing the good edits. I apologize. P.S. I notice you are a doctor. If I may ask, what kind of medicine do you practice? I have always admired the medical profession. Thanks! TheCROW (talk) 03:56, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t understand how asking what kind of medicine you practice could be construed as trolling? TheCROW (talk) 05:30, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Based upon comments on ANI, I don't think Dr.K. is going to answer. I don't think that was the true issue - and I don't see a problem with the question either, but that's me. I think the issue is stated here: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/CoolRichWiseGuy, where it sounds like you were shadowing another user, CoolRichWiseGuy.–CaroleHenson (talk) 05:39, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, hi @CaroleHenson: I see now he is in the category of “Wikipedia editors with PhD degrees”. @Dr.K.: Sincerest apologies, I assumed you were a real doctor and meant no offense in asking. TheCROW (talk) 01:14, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to The Wikipedia Adventure!
