Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, TheAmazingLizardWizard, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Gravity falls did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome.  Skynxnex (talk) 04:08, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, sir. To be completely honest, the Gravity Falls page edit was a short-lived prank; that town only exists in its corresponding TV show. I couldn't resist the opportunity to give fans of the TV show a joke article.
Thanks for putting me in my place! TheAmazingLizardWizard (talk) 04:12, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can see it's tempting but Wikipedia mainspace isn't the right spot for such things. Hope you can think on it and figure out how to constructively contribute. Would be great to see you around. Skynxnex (talk) 04:15, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Gravity falls. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Skynxnex (talk) 04:08, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
