This was not "accidentally" deleted: what I deleted was a redirect to your (empty) sandbox. I also deleted the history of Wikipedia:MyDirectives, which was in the wrong namespace. I urge you to review our guidelines, particularly WP:FIRST. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:16, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- In addition, all this moving around in the way in which you did it leaves redirects and empty spaces all over the place, for instance User talk:ThayerSS/Sandbox2, User:Thayerss/MyDirectives, User talk:ThayerSS/MyDirectives, User:Thayerss/sandbox, User:Thayerss/sandbox2. You'll note also that the capitalization is incorrect in some of them. I'm going to delete all of them since they don't serve any purpose, given that your two articles, MyDirectives and John Gerzema, are both in article space now. - Thayerss, I posted a note on WP:BLPN regarding the Gerzema article, which has some problems. All those redirects are now gone; since you copied and pasted the content of the MyDirectives article from a sandbox, I had to restore one sandbox and move it to mainspace, deleting the article and then restoring its history and reverting to the version you had posted originally. In a nutshell, please stop moving stuff around, and please don't copy and paste from one space to the other: it creates a lot of work for administrators. Thank you. - Hi Thayerss, please use the talk page for discussion. You can leave me "Talkback" notices if you like: just put {{Talkback|Thayerss}} on my talk page if you respond here. I don't know who told you to put it in sandbox and then move it; essentially, that's correct, but in reality issues can arise--for starters since you moved it to the wrong namespace (the "Wikipedia:" space), and then there's the five different sandboxes, all with redirects going back and forth. The easiest thing is indeed to move it but without leaving a redirect; the copying and pasting (after I deleted the redirect which you had left in mainspace) obscured the editing history, and we need to preserve that under our license. So, no harm no foul, just a bit of work. If something like this comes up again, you can ask an administrator, who should know what to do. Hopefully.
