[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Sockpuppetry block on User:Schrodinger's cat is alive. Thank you. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 15:19, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- It looks like you were blocked as a Meatpuppet of User:Schrodinger's cat is alive. This means that it appears that you registered specifically to support another user in a discussion or debate - and this is against several policies. When this occurs, the two accounts are treated as one for the purposes of blocking, and thus you were blocked. User:Schrodinger's cat is alive has since been unblocked. If you would also like to be unblocked, you'll want to review our Guide to appealing blocks. Then, type the following line on to this page:
- {{unblock|reason=Your Reason Here}}
- Replace "Your Reason Here" with the reason you'd like to be unblocked. You'll need to agree not to coordinate with User:Schrodinger's cat is alive off-wiki, and it would be a good idea to edit in areas where User:Schrodinger's cat is alive is not active - that would reduce the possibility that someone who isn't aware that you share an IP address could become suspicious. Remember too that, in most cases, editors sharing IP addresses are here only for mischief and shenanigans, which is why such accounts are frequently blocked outright. If you agree to edit within our policies, I don't see a reason not to unblock. But you need to make the request first. Please post here with any questions you may have. I did what, 5 or 6 edits and this is how you say "Hi, Welcome on board Wiki, have fun editing!"
The Nazi thought police win this time cos I won't be back. Congratulations on your customer service approach, I can tell you don't know how the real world works
- Sorry about the reception you've had on the English Wikipedia, but take a moment to look at it from our end - 9 times out of 10, the pattern we saw (matching IPs, matching pages edited, etc) would indicate shenanigans. You just happen to be the 1 out of 10. Mistakes happen, especially where editors who share IP addresses are concerned. The trick to proving that the admins screwed up here would be to follow the instructions I provided. Calling us Nazi thought police isn't exactly going to get you anywhere. I get it, I'd be pissed too - but when you quit, they win. Hope you reconsider. Best to you, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:40, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- I expended a great deal of energy advocating for you at ANI and elsewhere (because I feel strongly that the block on you was and is wrongful). All you really need to do is follow the instructions above for an admin to unblock you. I'm happy to help you out wherever I can, but you've got to come halfway too, mate. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 06:27, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
