Yo wassup

How to edit or cite other pages??!!???!!!

Re: I need help!

[edit]

It kinda depends on what you mean; the answer varies from what you mean by 'other pages'. Do you mean your talk page or an external page? HTMLoveit (talk) 17:15, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Re: I need help!

[edit]

I mean other pages than my talk page that don't have the "Talk" link on them.

Re: Re: Re: I need help!

[edit]

You go to the bar where the "Talk" link is normally located at the top of the page first. Next, look all the way across that bar until you see the "Edit" link. Then click that, and you can make your edits. ...Haven't you already edited?

I need help! Again srry :L

What does it mean for a page to be patrolled? Does that mean like watched by a lot of people or something? Or does it mean that I did something I wasn't supposed to? TextasChainMaster (talk) 17:27, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TextasChainMaster, when a page is created, it gets marked as a new page. Later, someone will "patrol" it to make sure it's not a joke page or a page that should be deleted. That's all! Cheers, Primefac (talk) 17:42, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Don't apologyze. I am here to help you when you need it! And also, that is a very good question. Let me take it to another adopter for the answer and I'll get back to you with that. Thanks for your patience! HTMLoveit (talk) 17:31, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HTMLoveit, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Sam Walton (talk) 20:12, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SPI Explanation

[edit]

Since this is a real thing and possibly with my account on the line, I must explain that: (A) my friend uses tthe same computer (B) we are frequently switching computers I hope that this clears the matter up and dont think that my friend under the alias HTMLoveit shold be blamed for this curious situation.

This doesn't make much sense to me - why wouldn't you just speak to your friend about the things you post on each others walls for example? Regardless, please post any comments you have regarding this on the SPI page linked above. There's a section there for these kinds of things. Sam Walton (talk) 00:42, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
