Otto Schubert
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please know that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. If you create or edit an article, know that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
Please note: if you are acting on request of the family, you are involved in a conflict of interest and should not be editing the article. The edits you have made today merely introduce severe grammar errors that other editors have already corrected. --Stfg (talk) 20:22, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
I see that, despite the message above about conflict of interest, you have continued to edit the article, including adding content which at best expresses subjective opinions. I also see that your latest edit added content published at www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/1933-adolphus-hotel-dallas-texas-otto-169251196, making it an infringement of copyright. (There is no doubt about that: the page referred to clearly says "© 2014 - WorthPoint Corporation", and the web site's terms of use say "You are licensed to use the Content ... for personal research purposes only. Under no circumstances shall you use any Content (except Submitted Content provided by you) for any Commercial Use." That is totally incompatible with Wikipedia's licensing terms.) Please do not add content to any Wikipedia page which is copied from other sources, unless there is clear proof that it is either in the public domain or else licensed for free re-use in terms consistent with Wikipedia's licenses. Proposed deletion of Otto Schubert
[edit]The article Otto Schubert has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Ordinary businessman, no evidence of satisfying Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Still no evidence of notability in the article after being tagged for notability for nearly six & a half years, & none found on searching.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yes, once again you have gotten my attention and sparked my wonder at why such vigorous "anger" seems present on this "quest" to erase someone of such colloquial but high honor in his day. The background is that ALS recently claimed his granddaughter Shelly R. Vaughn, Sociologist in charge of Dallas County Joy Ride, specializing in autistic children care. All of the Dallas Vaughns/Schuberts heirlooms, memorabilia, et al. were finally then released to be researched. Although not published, they serve as physical evidence that should be displayed beyond the sparse citings performed in those days, e.f. Dallas Morning News quips or famous people in St. Louis. Since you are not from the Dallas area nor possibly a student of men that built America like Adolphus & family, you can't know/understand how they contributed and are highly respected in these neighborhoods, as well as patriots; e.g. if not for Schubert's management of the Adolphus Hotel, there couldn't have been a gathering of eagles necessary to birth the Dallas plant to make P-51s to finally win the war in Europe via North American Aviation's push in that direction.
I cannot defend anything literature and certainly respect copyrights. You clearly are the expert in these things. You clearly have the power to do as you wish, even step out a fragile lightning bug, as in this case. As a beggar, all I can do is hope for your grace in a) not putting out this light of American history & b) be more generous than previous editors have been when making proper corrections.
T
I can only GUESS as to
" why such vigorous "anger" seems present on this "quest" to erase someone of such colloquial but high honor in his day. "
by following clues, such as murder mysteries do, as to WHO will profit. Let's see ....
1. all of this Otto work is now & has been redirected back to Adolphus Hotel, the beer kingdom's hotel jewel, now run by the younger generation ... who slept while their power & control was somewhat usurped by foreigners lucky to find a brief window of loan money to launch a hostile stock takeover. They know little of Otto, and perhaps all employees are just suckers off the beer money, all greatness to the beer cash cow, for without it no jewels like this with which employees to associate selves.
2. the ultra literate that have found a power nest here @ Wiki, using the rules to serve their egos, power and other perks that the real world perhaps does not give them, for today hick songs makes millionaires and teachers/military/1st responders get squat to live on, even if sacred cows in words only. Why should Otto get recognition working his fingers to the bone building Dallas for Adolphus/family (his friend) when a ultra literate cannot find fame, only Wiki powers?
3. aside: I have persisted in reposting mainly in hopes that an accomplished writer might take up this task to polish & refine into high Wiki standard (& rules too voluminous for a working guy to pour through) as an exercise, class project, self-satisfaction, white hat effort or simply making his bones as a fledgling building a new career.

- I've declined the speedy notice and turned this into a redirect to Adolphus Hotel - it seems easier to focus on improving one article rather than two. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:58, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
