I'm a total novice here just trying to determine the hows and whys of the sudden deletion of my years old Wikipedia page. I've asked that the decision be reviewed, but I'm more simply looking for an explanation.

Terry Heaton was deleted by Kimchi.sg (talk · contribs) as a violation of the Wikipedia criteria for speedy deletion: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. This deletion occured during the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Terry Heaton. Please see the comments at that deletion discussion. If you would like to challenge the deletion, you should talk to Kimchi.sg directly or request a deletion review. — Scientizzle 18:57, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information. I'm as much interested in the hows and whys of the nomination as I am the actual deletion. I'll see what I can learn from Kimchi, although I'm not very hopeful.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:58, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
