Regarding your edits on pages of Indian states

Hi, I noticed your edits recently on Indian state articles like this one right here. Could you please explain what it is you changed and the reasoning behind it? I'm just curious and want to know why you made the edits. Prolix 💬 07:24, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

User:Prolix, 1) name of template changed from "region" to "place", which is more generic, so the template can be used on more types of entities (e.g. country, which is a place, but often wouldn't be called "region"), 2) the whole box is now passed to the parent template via a parameter named "module". Is this explanation sufficient? TerraCyprus (talk) 09:49, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
TerraCyprus, yeah its perfect. Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. Have a nice day! Prolix 💬 13:23, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Infobox X place

Hi, I see you've been moving several templates ({{Infobox German location}}, {{Infobox Albanian settlement}}, {{Infobox French subdivision}}, {{Infobox Greek Dimos}}, etc.). I don't have a strong opinion against these new names (it would have been better if you had discussed them first), but could you please update the documentation, examples etc.? Infobox Inquiry

Hey- I wanted to ask if you could help me find someone interested in a small coding problem. The infobox Template:Infobox U.S. state has a parameter for the official language of a state. Alaska and Hawaii (and maybe South Dakota?) have more than one official language. However, there is no option to write "Official Languages" in the infobox. The result is that the twenty something official languages of Alaska are referred to as a singular (see Alaska). I think the option to make 'Language' a plural should be incorporated into the infobox. How can I get my idea in the queue for consideration? Thanks for any guidance. Geographyinitiative (talk) 20:30, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Geographyinitiative, I think singular/plural has been solved for other parameters in the main box. So best it is solved there, then any other wrapper infoboxes would profit too, I posted it at Template talk:Infobox settlement#Add parameter official language.
