Hello. I noticed that this article posted by you is a repost of copyrighted material at this page. All articles posted on Wikipedia must be under the GNU Free Documentation License - which would mean that the author is willing to release all rights, allow editing, and not be credited with the work (which is currently on the article). I can also point you to the Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission policy which will help in proving proper copyright proceedure has been followed. Ifnord 01:56, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, don't take any offense at having your efforts rewritten, reverted, replaced, reviled, etc. That's the whole point of Wikipedia. Well, except for reviled. No one is ganging up on you, but I have to admit that I take a closer look at users who come out with guns blazing, making accusations quickly without taking the time to look at our policy of assuming good faith. Wikipedia can not stand if we violate copyright laws, basically you may not post up verbatim what others create. It must be completely rewritten.
I read, on a user page, a piece of advice that may help. "My advice to you all is just go along with the ride, participate in the word-play, grow a thick exo-skeleton, and don't take offense." Ifnord 03:10, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Consider my POV: Been a contibuting member since Mar '06 with nary a problem. Five days ago I was doing maintenance to one site I've contib to and decided to fill a missing link originally created before my involvement here by someone else. BAM! Almost immediately I had one Admin posting a "Hi, your new" message. I seem to recall getting something like that before, but I don't know what happened to it. Then another Admin tags the page I had just created for Speedy Delete calling my contribution an advert. I scrambled to find out what to do to correct the problem. I followed the difficult to understand proceedure and placed a <hangon> tag on the talk page. Following the unclear instructions, I typed my response and removed the <hangon > tag per the instructions. Meanwhile, another Admin started deleteing the original link citing that it was nn due to being sched for speedy delete. All of this was without getting any response to my protest nor any offers to help me fix this. I STILL don't believe I was treated properly according to your policys such as Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. I kept trying to solicit a dialogue and was being ignored. Then another Admin acted on the speedy delete with NO attempt at dialogue and with apparent disregard to my appeal, calling me a "spammer" for no justifiable reason. At this point the Admin Team has not done much to make me think they are trying to help. Ifnord is the only one who has tried to act in a civil manner and even that started poorly (due to my frustration at this point). Instructions concerning what a "victim" of heavy handed Admins is supposed to do is (deliberately?) vague and hard to follow. I tried to complain that the original speedy deletion wasn't discussed (with my knowledge) and I was told it was by Admins. The link I was provided included many other sites being considered, but the one in dispute was NOT listed. THEN, to cap off a miserable, frustrating series of only a few days, one of those same Admins starts picking apart everything I have done for the good of Wikipedia. Wikipedia:Assume good faith does not appear to have been applied. That is why I sound frustrated. I wonder how anything of import ever gets done here. There certainly is enough fluff and nonscence here that is apparently allowed to remain...

Just a quickie, I will write more later. The bulk of the editors here (myself included) are users not administrators. As you come to understand Wikipedia you'll see that everyone can do pretty much anything. BTW, the article is shaping up nicely, I will help out when I have a moment. There are also tags you can stick on articles to let people know you're in the middle of editing. I put one on there as an example (says article undergoing major edits but others welcome to join in) but check out Wikipedia:Template messages/Maintenance for ones that ask people not to edit for the time being. Sorry for the misconception. When I see a Userpage full of RfA babble, I assumed that only Admins were allowed to vote for inclusion. I guess my "Admin satisfaction meter" just went down a few notches since you were my sole positive role-model...<GRIN> Oh. Thanks for pointing out the tags. --Steve 23:45, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA)

Hi Steve. Just a heads-up that I recently did a little tinkering on this article. Since the word Signal in the name should evidently be singular, one of the adjustments was a title change from International Municipal Signals Association (IMSA) to International Municipal Signal Association. (Because the association's name is already unique in Wikipedia, it's not really necessary to include the abbreviated form in the title itself.)

I see that you include a link to the article on your user page. While the old page is currently acting as a redirect to the new one, you may still want to consider amending the link accordingly. Best wishes. —Error -128 (talk) 22:38, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:48, 27 December 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7.
