Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to drinking water. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. Since Wikipedia uses Nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Thanks Siobhan for your advice. I am trying to find a way to make useful contributions to human knowledge. I have read various notes and instructions concerning the Wikipedia philisophy and make the following "pleas" in relation to the links so far contributed and would appreciate your comments and help on improving them, if judged appropriate. There are in theory links in many other sectors to be made, as the Model relates to economics, and to integrated social, financial, productive and service structures in developing countries.

Objection concerning personal websites : the source to which reference is made is that of an independent non-governmental non-profit making organisation (Stichting Bakens Verzet). The material is in the public domain.

Need for prior publication : material for the Model (this IS the website)has been presented at international meetings and published in their proceedings. References to these are accessible through the website homepage.

Collection and organisation of information from existing sources are said to be encouraged by the Wikipedia concepts. The Model is a sort of assembled jigsaw puzzle. It pieces together generally recognsed problems (e.g. those the subject of the Millennium Development Goals) and known technical instruments (e.g. micro-credit finance, local money systems, eco-sanitation techniques) to form possible solutions to development issues.

Google searches. The bona-fide website (Model)is ranked by Google (and other search engines and meta-searches, excluding Yahoo) as one of the world's leading resources, if not the leading resource, for integrated development for the world's poor. Search keys yeilding this ranking are many, generalised, and wide-ranging and include topics such as "Local money systems for development", "integrated development structures", "model for sustainable integrated development", to sanitation, waste recycling and water supply issues.

No need to go to my talk page. I've just spotted your message.

We're trying to build an encyclopedia rather than a portal, so I would suggest you add content to appropriate articles. Your expertise in these areas could be a great help to the encyclopedia and the information is likely to reach a much wider audience if it's in the articles rather than external links. If information you'd like to include has been presented at conferences you can use the conference proceedings as references.

Not all published information is appropriate - as our guidelines and policies state, we represent significant points of view of experts in the subject. So points of view that haven't reached the main stream yet may not be appropriate to include in an encyclopedia. Also, if you want to reference something actually published by (or otherwise connected to) you or your organization you should get agreement from editors on the talk page of the article before adding it. (I don't know if these apply to what you want to include, I'm just pointing to a couple of things that come up from time to time when people who are very involved with an issue edit articles on that issue).
