Meaningless edits

[edit]

Hi, TelephonepolesIndependent. What was the purpose of your small and meaningless edits to your sandbox, as seen here, which together with a few other edits makes up exactly ten edits from your account? Might you be trying to get autoconfirmed? Doing it in such a manner is considered as gaming the requirement for having at least ten edits before you can edit semi-protected pages, and as editing in bad faith. If you start editing s-protected pages as soon as you fulfill the other requirement (having been here 4 days), it will be difficult for you to be taken seriously as a bona fide editor. If getting autoconfirmed was not your purpose, please explain what it was. Also, have you had another account previously? It would be rather surprising for a brand new user to be able to make an edit like this. Bishonen | tålk 10:02, 5 July 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Hello, TelephonepolesIndependent, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Vultr2020 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Procmon867 (talk) 17:08, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
