Beatbox

[edit]

I saw you edit on the list of beatboxers, I thought you could help me. I've made a page on another beatboxer (Joseph Poulpo) and I'd like to put him into the list of beatboxers. I'm a real lame at editing stuff in Wikipedia. Could you help me, please? Thanks.

Video games notable for negative reception

Please don't participate in this edit war. If you have an interest in this article, please discuss. We're trying to recreate the article. The content in the article is not deleted, merely hidden, and is hidden for the sake of taking sources from it. Everything that deserves to be on the list will be placed on the list once the format discussion is done, and most of the content on the article is unsourced, undiscussed, POV, poorly written, or all of the above. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:42, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, we all make that mistake from time to time. Also, happy belated birthday, yo - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:44, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! My mistake. Happy belated first edit day! Heh. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you serious?

[edit]

Seriously, what purpose does flagging my article for deletion serve? Fag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bubbis9000 (talkcontribs) 05:36, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for wider input on discussion at WikiProject Tennis

[edit]

Hi, there is an extremely long and muddled discussion going on at WP:Tennis about the tournament tables found on tennis player articles (i.e. this type of table), and I'm notifying you as you identified yourself as a member of the project. The dispute is over the "Tournament Name" column, with the options being to either use the "sponsored tournament name" - in other words, the name involving the sponsor, for example Internazionali BNL d'Italia - or the "non-sponsored tournament name" - in other words, Rome Masters. I appreciate that this conversation is very long and convoluted, so a brief summary can be found here, which is also where I request the discussion continues. Thanks, rst20xx (talk) 23:08, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated King Par, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King Par. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ash (talk) 15:18, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A bit long-lost myself!

[edit]

It helps that I was largely inactive all the first half of this year. :) But I'm glad I was able to make a difference. Welcome back. :) —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  04:18 15 October, 2009 (UTC)

What the hell? Wow...I am so glad I didn't know about that until now. I hope it's not the encyclopædia's correlation to the 1905 Revolution. :/ —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  00:14 17 October, 2009 (UTC)

Hello and good evening! I saw you made a CSD tag on this page as db-g1. I don't think the page met this criteria because it was not incoherant gibberish. It probobly would have been better to mark it db-g2 or db-a1. I agree the page was CSDable, but I read this essay by Balloonman at WP:WIHSD and it makes a really good point about why we, as CSDers, must make sure we tag correctly because of the very little oversight CSD gets. Happy tagging!--TParis00ap (talk) 03:26, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You make good points, it isn't exactly clear and seems to contradict itself. I try to keep Balloonman's essay in mind which you probobly remember from my RfA. I hardly use Twinkle, but I remember being fustrated with it that it lacked some CSD criteria. Anyway, thanks for your reply, I'll see you around tagging ;).--TParis00ap (talk) 14:54, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Color me confused, re Sebwite RfA

[edit]

You said "...not knowing the basic idea that the admin is the judge and the !voters are the jury leaves me rather uneasy with the candidate". Isn't that precisely what Sebwite said in the answer to Q10? I think the analogy is imperfect, yet not a bad first cut at an analogy. I haven't nailed down the exact timing, so I'm wondering if your "Oppose" was based upon the weak first crack at Q6. Not a big deal, but it looks like you opposed even though Sebwite agrees with you. Did I miss something?--SPhilbrickT 16:37, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response, explaining that your comment was based on q6 and q11. I agree that the candidate isn't completely coherent; while I liked the answer to q10, it doesn't fit well with the responses to the other questions. Unfortunately, candidate has shot himself in the foot with some of the other answers. Too bad; while I don't agree with all of his essays, and think some others are stating the obvious, it is clear that the candidate is very engaged with WP, and very interested in making it a better place.--SPhilbrickT 16:03, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Altered Speedy Deletion rationale: Neema Barnette

[edit]

Hello Teh tennisman, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I have deleted a page you tagged (Neema Barnette) under a criterion different from the one your provided, which was inappropriate or incorrect. CSD criteria are narrow and specific to protect the encyclopedia, and the process is more effective if the correct deletion rationale is supplied. Consider reviewing the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks again! NW (Talk) 01:12, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Teh tennisman,
I fixed your concerns with the length of the records section, which go look at it and tell me on my talk page if you do agree with it?
Thanks,

Nomination of King Par for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article King Par, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King Par until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Steven Walling 19:02, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Curse of Curves

[edit]

The article The Curse of Curves has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references, no claim of notability, fails WP:NSONG and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
