Speedy deletion nomination of Rowen Altenburger
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rowen Altenburger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 14:59, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "TeamPrenda", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. The "Team" in your name implies a group, and the "Prenda" is potentially related to Prenda Law, which seems to indicate that this is a group account. — Bill W. A note on the deletion of Rowen Altenburger
[edit]Normally when I encounter a page tagged for deletion under Criterion A7: no indication of significance I will untag it rather than deleting if there are some potentially viable sources - if the sources are borderline (as in this case) I will send or suggest sending it to Articles for deletion to be discussed. However, in this instance experience tells me that the page would almost certainly be deleted at AfD, and putting it through that channel would also mean a week's worth of probing, discussion and debate regarding the deceased. For her friends and family, that could be a potentially painful process. I have therefore deleted the article to pre-empt and avoid this. Please be cautious when writing about the recently deceased, especially if their death is the only reason they have received media coverage. In almost all such cases, it is more appropriate, both for Wikipedia and for the person's family, to avoid writing about them here. Yunshui 雲水 15:28, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
