User talk:TeamJiCanWin
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, TeamJiCanWin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Dl2000 (talk) 21:53, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there - I did my best to update the page for Joe Ikhinmwin according to the articles, with unbiased opinions. This is an update for multiple players of the BBL. All is truthful and cited. icw (talk) 22:21, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- This is not a paid project but is a part of updates for a BBL initiative icw (talk) 22:22, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

- There is no need to keep repeating yourself.
- "multiple players of the BBL" = British Basketball League? And yet your edits so far all relate to Joe Ikhinmwin.
- Your user name and editing pattern clearly suggest that you have a conflict of interest. Even if you are not being paid for editing, you need to be transparent about your interest in the topic of Joe Ikhinmwin. – Fayenatic London 21:17, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think it's odd to start with the captain when updating for the 2010-2020 season but I am glad to now know what best to do to respect your time and better avoid article issues in the future. I've read the guidelines but admit there are a lot of things to remember in banner placement, etc. and I will now suggest edits in the future vs changing articles. 2A02:6B65:2426:0:2034:8FA9:F112:C5E (talk) 13:39, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Joe Ikhinmwin, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 21:53, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I corrected sources with broken links and thought that fixed the problem. No problem, won't happen again. icw (talk) 22:38, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- And yet you removed the properly-placed banners again just before the above edit. [1]
- Please would you now move all the new citations so that they appear after the punctuation marks? I did this for you at 11:59 on 29 May, leaving an explanation in the edit summary – I apologise for not leaving a more obvious note, e.g. here on your talk page. You have since added c. 30 more just before rather than after the full stops at the end of the sentences.
- I hope you understand the problem about inline external links, e.g. "The Cyber Nerds" in the lede and "Trojans" under "College career". These links should either be formatted as citations, or be moved to "External links", or be removed. – Fayenatic London 20:59, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- I so apologize for moving the period. I was following MLA format by default and didn't realize that was a particular Wikipedia format! I feel awful you had to change that manually and had thought it was a default setting. 2A02:6B65:2426:0:2034:8FA9:F112:C5E (talk) 13:33, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
