Speedy deletion nomination of [[:]]

[edit]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the [[|the article's talk page directly]] to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Rorshacma (talk) 17:55, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Rorshacma (talk) 23:08, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You recently added the article Adubi War, and there are some problems with it and since you created it, I was wondering if you would be willing to fix them or at least point people, myself included, in the right direction.

  • First, there are no references. Can you either add inline citations or a bibliography so that others may verify the information.
  • Second, There is little detail and a question that has been raised on the Abeokuta page is that it is the same thing as the Abeokuta Riots. Is that correct?

I ask these requests with the sincere hope that you fix them or help others fix them as it sounds as if it needs to be an article on Wikipedia. My biggest problem as is probably the biggest problem with others as well is the lack of verifiability.

Please do not take my request/care the wrong way, as I do appreciate the effort put forth thus far.speednat (talk) 01:38, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that will help a lot. I hope you don't mind but I did throw those into a template to keep it looking tight and to help in organization. In case you are curious about some options on references/Bibliography/citations, take a look at References and also Citation templates. I like how easy these templates make citing sources. Information icon Hello, I'm Dc987. Your recent edit to the page [Kufi] appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dc987 (talk) 09:24, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit doesn't make sense. Etymology of the word 'Kufi' (the title of the article) is being discussed in the article. Not the word 'Adi'. I'd suggest reverting or clarifying your edit... Thanks, --Dc987 (talk) 10:43, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have to remove your addition "although most western optical/ophthalmalogical professionals know that this is simply a description of looking in a mirror". It is just wrong. When you look in a mirror you see a *single* reflected image, not two images. Looking at a *semi-transparent* mirror would be the correct analogy (in which case you are getting two images, sometimes at different focus distances), but I don't see much point in adding that. The description is clear enough regardless... Dc987 (talk) 10:58, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on President T requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 02:34, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Fire and Smoke (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability concerns.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
