[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Tditech) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies. Thank you. mabdul 15:42, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. mabdul 15:43, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:45, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's [[Talk:Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies|talk page]]. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:46, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:47, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reported to AIV

[edit]

Hi Tditech, this is a notice to let you know that I have reported your removal of speedy deletion templates at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/TDi Technologies to administrators. An administrator should assess the report in a short while, and they will take any appropriate actions. Please wait for an administrator before taking any further actions yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 16:09, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. JohnCD (talk) 16:51, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

> I was attempting to learn what is allowed/not allowed this morning in using Wikipedia. I probably should have read the instructions, but just started typing - in what I thought was a 'sandbox'. Maybe that is where i made my mistake. I left for lunch and when I came back my user name had been blocked. My experience with sandboxes is that they are there for the purpose of developing the content - not ready for publication.

My real intent is to add information to a couple of topics that are listed in Wikipedia (console server, out of band, out of band management) of which TDi is a leading technology provider and has significant knowledge of. Hopefully, these articles will prove as evidence. http://smart-grid.tmcnet.com/channels/nerc-compliance/articles/240201-tdi-technologies-unveils-secure-remote-access-management-solution.htm http://h21007.www2.hp.com/portal/site/dspp/menuitem.5070eb5189f3295ac6713f8da973a801/?partnerId=9233 http://www.elp.com/index/whitepapers/vendor-display/2113471922/whitepapers/vendors/powergrid-international/tdi-technologies.html http://www.pennenergy.com/index/research-and_data/white-papers/vendor-display/2113471922/whitepapers/vendors/powergrid-international/tdi-technologies.html http://www.intelligentutility.com/article/11/11/tdi-technologies-announces-unique-and-highly-secure-remote-access-management-solution-addressing-nerc-cip-require- I'm not sure what to request as a next step since I'm relatively new to Wikipedia. Should I request a new user name so that I can provide edits to those topics?

Please advise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.22.12.47 (talk) 13:44, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
