Thanks for your comments
I have tried to follow the style and format on the pages submitted by other ITSM vendors but am more than happy to make any changes to improve the article. I am not sure what you mean by a lead section though - sorry I am still pretty new to Wikipedia. Best Wishes Sarahannlewis (talk) 21:13, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

What A Stupid Idea
I disagree with moving my essay to my namespace. You write an essay on what you think. How about you tell someone else who wrote an essay which you disagree with to move it, and let the depressed guy ALONE! --Oh no! it's Alien joe!(Talk) 22:04, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry
I'm verry sorry about calling your idea a stupid idea. I just was a little depressed, and I also find myself sometimes not assuming good faith. I plan to do so in the future. --Oh no! it's Alien joe!(Talk) 22:22, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Oodles.com
To be honest, I don't remember what links there were, but not only didn't the article claim notability, but it was blatant ad-speak. Corvus cornixtalk 21:47, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Hoaxes
Thanks for the message on my talk page. My point was that the criteria for speedy deletion are, for obvious reasons, narrowly defined, and do not specifically include hoaxes (see WP:CSD). That's why hoaxes are dealt with under the Afd procedure rather than speedy deletion - see WP:HOAX#Dealing with hoaxes. Yes, hoaxes are a type of vandalism, though most are not obvious hence the need for them to be researched more fully than obvious vandalism before deletion . – ukexpat (talk) 14:35, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed you are still around and I'm very glad for it. :) Yes, I'm slow. ;) --mav (talk) 22:17, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
I see you are proposing to withdraw the current FA nom. I think this is wise. Ideally, I think you should be looking to trim to around 8,000 words, with a much less cumbersome infobox and some illustrations, even if it's only of Bush, or of Cheney doing something important. As a guide to where to start trimming, perhaps you could look at the "Controversy" section, which is some way longer than the main article to which it is linked. As I have indicated previously, the work behind this project is impressive, and I can understand that it's painful to have to remove whole swathes. But think of yourself as a film director who has shot 100,000 feet of film and has to edit down to, say, 30,000. Some good stuff has to go. Anyway, if you want a detached viewpoint while you are revising the article, feel free to contact my talkpage. Best wishes Brianboulton (talk) 15:32, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Category sorting
Just a reminder that the correct markup for the DEFAULTSORT magicword uses a colon, not a pipe: e.g. {{DEFAULTSORT:World of Difference, A}}
, not {{DEFAULTSORT|World of Difference, A}}

Wikipedia:WikiProject Trivia Cleanup
I think people still cleanup trivia, but the project itself isn't active. You are free to help it be active again if you want. On a related note: there is a popular culture project which is somewhat similar. See: Wikipedia:WikiProject Popular Culture. I believe a merge was proposed for the two projects, but was rejected. They do help with some cleanup as well. Overall, that project seems to be more about keeping the trivia/popular culture rather than removing much though. Wikignoming
OK then, long time no see, hope all your extended family are keeping well, another chore which may amuse is all articles with an Overview section - they are all redundant - according to MOS the Lead is the overview, so all this section does is repeat material.
PS:Rob above is right - one project was deletionists trying to (euphemistically) 'clean up' by removing material, the other inclusionists and pop culture lovers trying to keep it. sigh Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 09:07, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Right Now (Van Halen Song)
You need to learn what the meaning of the word trivia is. Whether or not some guy named "Richie Sexton" or any of the other thousands of people that have used this song before do NOT need to be mentioned in the article about the song. IT IS NOT RELEVANT. If it is important to the "Richie Sexton" or "Pittsburg Pirates" wikipedia entry then move it there. I suggest that it is NOT in that case either. It's trivial NONSENSE and NOBODY cares. It is a complete waste of space and totally unprofessional. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.110.68.30 (talk) 11:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
ATA Airlines
I removed what seemed trivial in the context; listing that an ATA 738 carried passengers in the Amazing Race, or a 727 was seen in a film is not information that should be placed in the notes section of the fleet box; that is for "north american launch customer; 3 subleased to world; etc..." I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I agree with my edit. I wouldn't have a problem with the info going back in, but not there. Sox23 12:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Right Now (Van Halen song). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.
Look, I know the anon is frustrating but you need to remember not to edit war too. An admin has blocked the original (for today) IP; they've resurfaced with a new IP, they're block evading and will be blocked. Let process work it's course.|

Don't worry! I replaced some of the content that was removed by the Anon. Was just trying to stop the edit warring until an admin stepped in. Also the Anon seems to be rather Anti-Australian or is just plain against you editing an US related article. Bidgee (talk) 08:45, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Re:Hey
If Kelly wants to make outrageous statements, I can make relatively mild ones commenting on her behaviour. Sure, Kelly might not like it, but really I don't particularly feel terribly upset if she takes it to heart - if anything, she should! - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 14:01, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- The problem with last night's debate was that everyone wanted to get the last word in. Other editors besides yourself, hours earlier, were firing shots at Kelly to try to bait him/her into making more angry statements. The problem is that the original comments were not a personal attack, and an obviously inexperienced or hot-headed admin blocked Kelly for it after issuing an unheard-of 10-minute ultimatum. That block lasted an hour, as it was clearly a vindictive block. However, they also demanded Kelly retract that statement, which was not necessary, thus baiting Kelly into more angry retorts. The behavior of some of the admins in this situation was not good. I expect a higher standard from admins than what I saw last night. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 14:29, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I do understand and I also expect a high standard from admins. I think characterising the admin as hot-headed is unwise, perhaps a little inexperienced but they most definitely did the right thing in taking the block to WP:AN/I, which is really what AN was designed for.
- In regards to Kelly though - I don't retract my statement and I feel that Kelly was out of line. So I said so directly to her. Was it baiting? Well, I didn't do it to bait her, but really if she makes such controversial statements, then really she should expect people to comment on that directly to her. If Kelly can't handle that (and I think she can), then she should probably refrain from the statements she makes. - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 14:38, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- More to the point, the WP:ANI thread is now closed and the matter is considered to be over and done with. It would be best to keep it that way. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 14:37, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, it might be closed. I'll still make that comment, and I stand by it. I've watched Kelly's behaviour for a long time, and this is really par for course. Like I say, I don't feel any regret in the statement I made. - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 14:39, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Baiting others is not a good thing to be doing, regardless of prior history. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 14:57, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Like I say, I wasn't baiting her. - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 14:59, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Making sarcastic remarks, hours after the fact, about a closed case, constitutes baiting - inviting someone to resume fighting over something that's done. Kelly obviously has a temper, and would do well to take my advice and find something else to do for awhile. And you would do well to take the high road and not try to pick fights. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 15:06, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, you can believe that if you want I guess, but like I have said, I stand by my comments. Kelly should not have made the statement she made, and I feel well within my rights to say something. Such uncivil behaviour deserves a fairly mild talk page comment. And now, if you please, I'm going to bed. Good night! - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 15:09, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- You're right that Kelly should not have kicked the de-sysopped admin while they were down. But that was blown way out of proportion by an admin who was clearly out of line. And the case was closed some hours ago, so your comments to Kelly are also out of line. I will give you this, though - your comment, by itself, is all that was needed at the time. The admin was at fault for truly baiting the user, which was the point made by the many demanding the unblock. So it's not that your comment was necessarily bad, it's just that the timing was poor. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 15:15, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not saying the problems are over, I'm saying this particular case is over, and should be left alone. When you make sarcastic, baiting remarks 8 hours after the case is closed, you are inviting more disruption. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 16:14, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Trivial note
Not that kind of trivia, just this: [1] Please note that you're not supposed to mess with other users' comments, even to tidy them up or fix spelling or whatever. In this case, I don't really care, but someone else might object somewhere else along the way. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 08:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's not likely he will, but as a general rule, never mess with someone else's comments on someone else's page except to fix column alignments or such stuff as that. It's like nannyism. Stuff on your own page, you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate the rules. That is, if he made that mistake on your page, it would be OK to fix it. If he saw his mistake on either page, he could fix it. And in this particular case, I don't care and he probably doesn't care either. I just wanted to be sure you understand the rule. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 09:47, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- To all those who might read this: I have been an editor for about 4 years, I was an admin for quite a few of them, I started WP:AN, I created {{fact}}, I wrote the article Exploding whale and quite a few other FAs (which were removed later via FARC), and overall I was and still am a well known and respected editor. I am well aware of all the core policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, in fact, I probably modified a few of the core ones myself. So when you see this comment, be aware that an editor accidentally added their signature (~~~~) twice on Baseball Bugs's talk page. I noticed this and removed the second signature. This is what he's warning me about - however, in the note he says that "never mess with someone else's comments on someone else's page except to fix column alignments or such stuff as that", which actually was exactly what I did. As a highly experienced editor, I don't really feel that I need the advise above. - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 03:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

A Sydney Meetup
G'day all - I'm dropping this note in to let you know that there's to be a Wiki Meetup the week after next, on Tuesday, 21st at 18:00 at The Paragon in Circular Quay. If you've ever thought about popping along to one of these, but haven't had the chance - now's the time! If you love the idea, but the time and / or place don't quite work for you, please do feel free to wiki edit away at the meetup page and I'm sure we can sort something out :-) Meetups are a great way to share wiki-thoughts, meet wiki-friends, and generally learn how to prefix all areas of your life with wiki- :-)
