A tag has been placed on your user page, User:TazWorks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

With my contested deletion I have read over the article numerous times to check for wording in which would make it seem 'Unambiguous advertising or promotion'.I have rewrote and reworded my article to be informative and not promotional, as it was not intended to be that way. If I can show you the new version, please let me. I have never been paid, I am not being paid, nor will I ever be paid to produce, or make edits to the article. If the article I have written is promotional, I could argue that many articles on wikipedia are promotional. My article is not in any way promoting TazWorks as an entity or for business matters. I created the article for information related to platform and background screening industry and key players, where people can learn facts about the company and the founders of TazWorks, in a non-promotional way. If you have any examples of wording for my article (newest version I can send you or show you) that is promoting the company or promoting anything related, please let me know, and I will do my best to comply with your discrepancies. Or if you have another option or way for me to input this article, let me know as well. If I am unblocked you can be assured that I am not promoting the company, making any money for it and that I understand the rules and importance of the rules that apply for Wikipedia. This was intended to be informative only for everyone interested in learning and understanding the platform and background screening industry and process. I apologize for the inconvenience I have caused in the draft article that I posted, please allow me to be unblocked, share my information with you and if you could advise what is still wrong, if anything before I publish. Thank you! If I need a new name for the article as well, I will change that too!

Decline reason:

Firstly, the proposed usernames are not acceptable (see below). Secondly, the deleted page was indeed promotional, and I'm concerned that you cannot see that even in retrospect ("an engine that enables powerful reporting and analytic capabilities for your business" - it cannot get much more blatant than that, and I wonder why you'd be using phrases such as "your business" if the intent wasn't to advertise the product). Wikipedia content should be a summary of what reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines have reported about a subject. Your draft cited no such sources, and a Google News search didn't find any. It seems unlikely that TazWorks meets Wikipedia's standards of notability. If you have an interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about TazWorks, you'll need to indicate what kinds of edits we can expect from you. Huon (talk) 22:14, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The first issue is your username; it is not permitted per the username policy. I have reformatted your existing request to allow you to propose a new username; in your existing request, please replace the words "Your proposed new username" with your choice of new username. What is your connection to TazWorks? 331dot (talk) 21:53, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have adjusted with three different name options that I could think of to use. Do these work? If not, I will think on other names to change to as well.

None of those are acceptable. Your username must indicate that a specific individual is operating this account(your real name is not needed, just something individualistic). You say "I have never been paid, I am not being paid, nor will I ever be paid to produce, or make edits to the article" but you propose "TazManager" as a username. If you are employed by TazWorks, you are a paid editor even if you have not been specifically asked or directed to edit Wikipedia. We have no way of knowing if you are "on the clock" at work or "off the clock" at home. The paid editing policy requires disclosure of any paid relationship("If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit (your "employer"), who the client is, and any other relevant role or relationship"). 331dot (talk) 22:12, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
