Hello!Just wanted to see how things were going for you after our two classes? Have you decided on a topic yet? I look forward to reading your article throughout the semester. Dcole12 (talk) 02:26, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi

Hi! Just dropping by to see how things were going for you so far this semester? I look forward to reading your article throughout the semester. Dcole12 (talk) 02:28, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello

Hi, Jalisa. Thanks for taking the time to virtually introduce yourself. I'm looking forward to your work in this course! DrakeLibrarian (talk) 19:27, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Good first edit!

Hi, Tatej. Your edit has stayed in the adolescence article! Good work! However, I believe you need to add the citation still. Could you please do that? I marked it with the notation "[citation needed]". Keep it up! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 04:04, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

As you edit your user page, think about the articles on WP in terms of what you want to edit, rather than as sources. It's a switch in how we see WP! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 04:04, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Prof.Vandegrift, that's not the line that Tatej added; this is. Flyer22 (talk) 04:06, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Flyer22. I think it's fixed now. Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 04:48, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Feedback on Topic Idea

Hi there! I see you are planning on researching youth coping mechanisms. I think that is interesting & awesome! My suggestion would be to make a list of all the topics within youth coping mechanisms and choose one to your best interest to research. Or, were you thinking of doing a general overview of youth coping mechanisms page? Topics I could think of dealing with youth coping mechanisms would be: gender, social class, depression, stress, education/college choices, bullying, discrimination, families, and peers. Perhaps, you could focus on a youth coping mechanism to a specific situation, such as living with AIDS or cancer, dealing with a parent's divorce, or teen pregnancy. Good luck! Hope this was some food for thought. Lhegtvedt (talk) 00:21, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Feedback

Hello! I really like your idea for this project. I have a huge interest in social work and this will definitely be something I will want to read. I would recommend choosing a certain copying mechanism and maybe focusing on that or even maybe a common problem youths face and how they can cope with that. There is a wide range of different things you can look at and talk about. I think you will have a great time putting this together, and you have a good start. Good luck to you! Feedback

Your topic area sounds really fascinating! I don't really know anything about psychology or social work, so I'll be interested to learn what you discover in your research. What is your plan for putting it into a global context? I'm sure there's a lot of information on how these things vary based on the three categories we talked about in class on Wednesday: race, gender, and class. Do you have a specific age range you want to focus on, or just youth in general? Sounds like a great start!! NSully83 (talk) 20:19, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

NSully83, good feedback! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 02:16, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

I am excited that you have chosen some great topics but my question would be how are you going to incorporate your articles on a global youth scale and what part of the world are you going to be focusing on?Camotero2013 (talk) 21:09, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Hey! You have some really great ideas can't wait to see what you do with them. Dcole12 (talk) 03:39, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Suggestions

Hello Tatej,

I have a few suggestion for your topic. First of all, I think your ideas are going to work quite well. I was looking around the articles you mentioned in your user page and there is already a group of sections in Psychological resilience that focus on specific examples. If there's a country not in there that you want to do research on, there's definitely a place for it there. On the same page, there's also a section of influence of religion that could be a good avenue to go down. The acting out page also has some opportunities. There isn't a global component to the page yet, which could be a helpful section to include. Best of luck!
