Hello, Tarunq, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Stop icon Stop making disruptive edit at Cinema of India. Do not all those info in the history section without source(s). DO not add those unnecessary "-woods" suffixed names when the articles have the format XYZ cinema where XYZ is the language. Note that these are also the WP:COMMONNAMEs of the articles. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Aha (streaming service)

Problematic edits

[edit]

Tollywood

[edit]

Hello mate, I see that you on a roll replacing Telugu with Tollywood everywhere. This is problematic because an average reader would not know what Tollywood means. Even if they did, it is ambiguous as there are two Tollywoods, the other being Bengali cinema. The edits are also contrary to the common name Telugu cinema.

Minor edits

[edit]

This one baffles me, you are marking edits with 4000+ bytes as minor. This is grossly misleading. Please go through WP:MINOR. It is meant for typos, fixing formatting errors, etc. Content addition can never be a minor edit.

While your contributions are welcome, they have to be in compliance with the community guidelines. If these edits continue, I have no option but to bring this to administrator's attention. I hope you rectify them and such a situation does not arise. Regards --Ab207 (talk) 19:32, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Butta Bomma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Sam Jam moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Sam Jam, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Still editing

[edit]

You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Tarunq. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tarunq|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message. Also read the following regarding writing an article:

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation or company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, logs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company or organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.

  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above. 1292simon (talk) 07:07, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't add duplicate wikilinks as you've done here. Wikilinks compete for a reader's attention, and having an overabundance of links doesn't help. See WP:OVERLINK.

Additionally, when other editors notify you of various things or try to communicate with you, it's generally considered good form to respond, since this is a community project. I'm not talking about my comments here, I'm specifically talking about the query above where another editor has asked you about a potential conflict of interest. In edits such as these to Colour Photo, you've added numerous non WP:RS sources like Teluguin, Tollywood, Gulte, Cinejosh, Pehalnews, Kulfibuzz, Trendraja, Teluguhungama etc. Please be aware these sources are junk which serve no purpose whatsoever, see WP:ICTFSOURCES for what's acceptable. Problematic content

[edit]

Hello, In this edit. You added that Doody mistakenly posted the release date which was later confirmed as official. While it more or less falls under WP:RUMOUR, the issue, however, is that the source you added clearly says that rumoured date is 8 October, you instead wrote it as 13 October. In the next line, its written as if Doody's claim was later cofirmed as the actual date but none of the sources even made a passing mention of it. This is WP:SYNTH and should be avoided.

Also see WP:CITEKILL, you do not need to add multiple references for uncontroversial info like release dates, one is more than enought. Thanks -- Ab207 (talk) 12:21, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
