If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vanessa Schulz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ducknish (talk) 20:55, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help request

[edit]

I can't seem to be able to link the table of content to the individual targets on the page. Can someone help me with this please. Please do not just reject the article as a whole. I've put so much work into it at this point. Just need a little help to finalize it according to wiki standards. I also have a letter of permission from Miss Schulz to write and edit this Wikipedia entry for her. I am not quite clear where/how to submit it. Thanks for any leads. PS. I submitted an incomplete article by accident in May 12. There was a several years old entry or attempt of for Vanessa Schulz, which Miss Schulz didn't have any explanation for. I have full support and permission from Miss Schulz to create this article. Thanks for your help. Tante Emma}}--TanteEmmaPDX (talk) 09:50, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The table of contents generates itself automatically when you use headings markup, like this: == Heading Text ==. That is the highest level heading (level 2, level 1 being the article title), you can add sub headings by including more equals signs, eg. ==== Level 4 heading ====. I have made a couple of the changes on your article as an example, see this diff. Anymore questions feel free to reply here (indent your reply with : and sign your comment with ~~~~). -- Patchy1 10:14, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) New additions to a talk page normally go at the bottom.
If you place your section headings between double pairs of = signs, like this:
== Words of heading ==
then the table of contents will automatically link to them.
Read WP:Your first article for advice. The important thing is to establish WP:Notability by citing references that show "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."
In the blue box at the top of the draft, there is a line "If this submission is ready to be reviewed, click here and press Save page" - that's what you do to submit it. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:20, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
