Not quite ready

[edit]

In my opinion, the article (here) is not quite ready to move into article space. I'll explain why, and remove the request to move this article into article space. Other editors may feel differently, so if you disagree with my reasons, feel free to replace the move request template, and someone else may move it for you.

One of the important requirements of an article in Wikipedia is that it demonstrate the Notability of the topic. (While this is a guideline, not an absolute requirement and exceptions can occur, they are rare.) I don't feel this article has demonstrated the notability of the topic. This can be accomplished by adding references to reliable sources which support the notability of the topic. You have asserted his notability, but it needs to be supported by references to reliable sources.

You appear to be misunderstanding the use of references. Please see Referencing for beginners

You used the Article Wizard to start your article, which is a good thing. However, the template provided contains a section for External Links, and includes a dummy link, which doesn't go anywhere. You should either identify valid External links and add them, while removing the Example, or remove the whole section.--SPhilbrickT 14:31, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

December 2011

[edit]

Hello Tamzzzz. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ray Villafane, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to you, your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Filing Flunky (talk) 13:26, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ray Villafane, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Filing Flunky (talk) 13:26, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Ray Villafane, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.
