Speedy deletion nomination of Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy

[edit]

Hello Tamzidul.islam,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vvvaggot (talk) 11:27, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. File permission problem with File:Imago presents Mahmudullah Riyad.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Imago presents Mahmudullah Riyad.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:29, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have gone and made a request for your article to be restored in your userspace so we can work on it together. Let's wait patiently until an admin sees that request. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 12:13, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, it looks like the request was denied. You can read the response here: Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Imago_.28Sports_Management_and_Media_Consultancy.29. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 18:35, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

On Wikipedia we only have articles about notable subjects. Here is our notability guideline for companies and organizations: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). If we're going to have an article on Imago then we need to show how it is a notable company. We can show that by providing links to sources that talk about this company. (You are going to have to find those sources, I'm not going to do that.) — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 12:37, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

[edit]

Articles on Wikipedia have to be written in a neutral tone. That means that the article can't be written like an advertisement, it can't sound promotional. (New articles that look entirely like advertisements can get speedily deleted as spam.) — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 12:42, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trying again

[edit]

(Message copied from Talk:Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy, please stop posting there. --JG)

Thank you Jeraphine Gryphon, I read the reply. I will try again to write an article (not a promotional way). Thanks again for the clear answer. It's true that This organization is not noteable but i believe we will be noteable within short time. here is our company website (imagobd.com) we will launch our website soon.

I am so glad that you spent time for me and tried for me to restore that write-up.

Best. --Tamzidul.islam (talk) 10:52, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you're gonna try again then please post that article at the title Draft:Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy (the "Draft:" in the beginning means that page is in "draftspace"), so other editors can have a look at it and let you know if it's really ready to become a real article. Please do not try to create that article in articlespace (like other normal articles) again, because you have already done it twice and we do not have any more patience left for editors who keep trying to promote outside interests on Wikipedia, and you may even end up getting blocked so please be careful.

If you agree that the company is not notable then please just don't even try. We do not publish articles here about non-notable subjects. If the company does become notable later then you can always come back here. It's okay to wait, there is no hurry. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 11:04, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Tamzidul.islam. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view and verifiability of information. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 11:05, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Tamzidul Islam. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia. CAPTAIN RAJU () 11:35, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
