Auckland
Gidday. Much of your edits to Auckland seem to confuse the difference between Auckland City and the greater Auckland area. I've removed some of the material accordingly. The section on the Rainbow Warrior sinking I've moved to the History of Auckland article, but I trimmed out some of the politics of it as that had little relationship to Auckland.-gadfium 04:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hello Taifarious. Thanks for your additions to Auckland even though Gadfium and others (including me, I believe) reverted many of them. You have just started working on Wikipedia, I see, so by starting on a heavily-edited article like Auckland, you are going to hit some instances of people either directly disagreeing with your opinions (Auckland is a consensus work the regular editors have been working on for a long time after all), or where your edits conflict with standard policy. Please don't let that put you off - your work shows dedication and we'd like to keep you here, improving Wikipedia. Some setbacks and wrangles are just part of learning how it all works. Cheers. Ingolfson 07:46, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Gee, thanks for that extremely condescending statement, I have'nt "just started working on Wikipedia" FYI, This is just my new account. And can you answer me a quick question, why would you waste your time coming here just to tell me that?? Answer me that and I'll show you a green dog. (♠Taifarious1♠) 07:56, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, lets turn that around. Here's your green dog, and if you have so much experience that you consider a simple explanation to be condescending, why don't you show it in your edits? If you HAD been a newbie and we had simply reverted your edits without further explanation, would you have found THAT condescending too? I bet. Yeepers. Ingolfson 08:13, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Helen Clark
The source you give doesn't mention Clark, and the Herald article only says that she was advised of the situation. What is the source for your statement that there was a concern for her safety?
I think we should try to keep reports on this anti-terrorism incident in one place. I've added a brief mention at New Zealand Police, which you are welcome to expand on. If the incident grows in importance, it may be spun off into a separate article later on.-gadfium 06:08, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I've tagged it for relevance, and we'll see if there are more reports making a connection over the next day or so.-gadfium 07:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Red Cross New Zealand
I congratulate you on creating this article, but I'm exasperated that you are continuing to take material from other websites verbatim in breach of copyright. The article is generally good, and will probably get even better over time, but some of the initial material came directly from http://www.law.auckland.ac.nz/uoa/law/for/undergraduate/community_placement/red_cross.cfm. You cannot do that, and if you do so again, I will block you for increasing long periods. You have potential to be a great asset to Wikipedia, but you have got to respect copyright laws.-gadfium 18:44, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Please Be Careful
Please be careful when editing general use templates such as Template:Welcome!. The addition of your user name was not appropriate and would have caused confusion for other editors. --NeilN 07:57, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on NZ Natural, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WWGB 08:49, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Copyvios
I see you have uploaded two photos of university campuses from flickr, marking them as CC-2.0 but on Flickr they were "All rights reserved". I've blocked you previously (as User:Murchy) for copyvios, and warned you again over the New Zealand Red Cross article. Since you are continuing to upload material which breaches copyright, I have now blocked you for a week.-gadfium 18:05, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- I find that images you uploaded for the California Governor's Mansion and Embassy of New Zealand in Washington were also not under the licenses you claimed for them, and so I have deleted them.-gadfium 18:24, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:New Zealand North Korea Locator.png
Thank you for uploading Image:New Zealand North Korea Locator.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 05:43, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- All done. (♠Taifarious1♠) 05:45, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Savoyard
The word "Savoyard" came to us directly from the French. If English speakers themselves had created a demonym for Savoie, they wouldn't have even thought to use -ard or -iard. So if you're going to analyze the word into a base and a suffix, you have to do it in the context of the language in which that occurred. French has a suffix "-iard". The "y" is a detail of French orthography that results from tacking the suffix "-iard" onto "Savoie". The same thing happens in verb conjugations: "payer" gives "je paie", "tu paies", "il paie", "nous payons", "vous payez", "ils paient". So the "y" is just a spelling convention, but the underlying suffix is "-iard". —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:58, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello, I have created an article about the UN Parliamentary Assembly, a proposed world body that would be similar to Europarl. Please review and vote on the WP:FAC nomination. Thanks, Sarsaparilla (talk) 01:22, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

San Francisco Bay Area-stub
I noticed you created the above article. It really should be a template, not an article. Wrong namespace I'm afraid. You should move it to a name of Template:XXXXXX. Ben W Bell talk 04:34, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, i missed that sorry, my mistake, will rectify :D Cheers (♠Taifarious1♠) 04:34, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
{{San Francisco Bay Area-stub}} and {{Los Angeles-stub}}
Hi - two stub templates which you created have been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub types, which were not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, do not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 23:12, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- PS - another kiwi, I see! Greetings from Otago. Grutness...wha? 23:18, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

LA community poster templates
Hi. Please use <noinclude> tags around categories you want to only show up for templates themselves, and not for the pages to which they are transcluded, like so http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Template%3AWest_Hollywood_article_poster&diff=176720479&oldid=176675296. Otherwise, every page one of those templates finds itself on will be included in Category:Los Angeles templates. Thanks. --Dynaflow babble 06:14, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: WP:WLA
Hey there. I checked out your User page and I must say I admire your enthusiasm for improving US-NZ, especially Los Angeles related articles. Unfortunately my time is a little restricted recently and I haven't been contributing much - mostly reverting a bad edit or fixing minor grammar errors here and there. However, if you have simple questions I'll be more than happy to help you answer them. Thanks, and good luck! Hanfresco (talk) 07:55, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
It's been one high aiming month! The French WikiProject and related pages have been aiming high for Christmas - and have received an equal number of presents in return!
- The French Portal is now a Featured Portal!!! It passed its Candidacy with 100%. Special thanks go to NYArtsnWords and all those that have made this Portal work.
- The Newsletter has made it to a second issue. You can find its page at WikiProject France/Outreach/Newsletter and its archives at WikiProject France/Outreach/Newsletter/Archives.
- A new page has been setup (WikiProject France/Links) to provide an index of the Projects/Portals pages (as well as helping newbees). When creating any pages in the Project/Portal namespace, please add them to the index page. This page also give WP:FRANCE members a handy watchlist.
- As like last time, members are asked to renew their memberships at Wikipedia:WikiProject France/Members.
- I will be on holiday when the next issue is meant to come out so could some generous person(s) please do the next issue at Wikipedia:WikiProject France/Outreach/Newsletter.
Well, that's this issue. Au revoir et à bientôt till the next time, ChrisDHDR (18:53, 9 December 2007 (UTC)).
Re: WikiProject Los Angeles
I'm cool with just you being the founder, since you did most of the work on the L.A. pages. I still hope to contribute as much as I can to L.A. The area I have the most knowledge in is politics, so I will contribute as much political information as I can, to L.A. and the whole state of California. - Haha, I wish, i live in New Zealand, but i have no problem with you using the page to organise one and I'd be wlling to help, but unfortunately it'd b kinda hard to get there from 10000km's away. (♠Taifarious1♠) 08:44, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I'd gotten the idea you were an ex-pat NZer living in L.A. Thanks for setting up the L.A. project. It may be more cohesive than the Southern California project which lost its energy when the guy who started it moved on. Sustaining projects may be harder than starting them, but it's all good. The next challenge may be avoiding an edit war over whether the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim belongs in the project or not. ;) ·:· Will Beback ·:· 11:41, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
