A tag has been placed on Cairo contemporary dance center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. I deleted the Mission section. I'd like to understand what you call "major news", as I already have references from all the major English-speaking Egyptian newspaper + notable international organizations such as UNESCO

  • I already have a dozen of serious reference, i.e. article from reputable Egyptian English-peaking newspapers, among them the most famous, mot read and most distributed ones (Ahram Weekly, Daily News Egypt, Mada Masr). I don't see how I can bring more than that. I want to underline the fact that The Townhouse Gallery or Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival D-CAF, which are organizations of the same level that CCDC, do have wikipedia pages though having way way less references. Even El Sawy Culture Wheel, one of Cairo's most famous venues, has less references than CCDC! There is an obvious double-standard here that I'd like to understand where it come from...
