Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Near abroad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page East Slavic. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blocked from editing without being informed and for no reason??

Request reason:

I was recently blocked from editing for 7 months by a user called SQL without being informed at all but only to find I am blocked just now. If SQL has a good reason, they should have stated it clearly why they did it rather than just doing it outright without providing a reason! I did nothing against the rules of Wikipedia and WHY SHOULD I BE BLOCKED??? I WANT THE REASON!!!! Taekhosong (talk) 19:38, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This account is not directly blocked. If you are unable to edit, please follow the instructions which appear when you attempt to do so. Yamla (talk) 19:43, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Still no idea why being unblocked

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 192.168.3.10. Taekhosong (talk) 19:51, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That is not your Internet address. You can find your Internet address using a tool like WhatIsMyIP. I'll warn you, though. In hundreds of cases like this, it's always the case that the person is using a proxy, despite claims they aren't. If that applies to you, you should simply disable your proxy and you should be able to edit! Yamla (talk) 20:55, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Again

[edit]

Han Chinese is refered to the multinational ethinic group, which does not restrict to certain nationalities or defined by the politics, if you refer it to certain region or specific nationality then there is already an article called "Chinese People". The context also mentioned that Singapore has a majority of ethnic Chinese group along with the other two, and the title indicates the definition clearly as "Regions with significant population"; if you keep on reverting, then I will just remove the classification that seperates into two categories and following suit to other multinational ethinicity as Arabs, Bengalis, and the French, as well as other languages' wikipedia pages in the same article, and keep it simple to the total numbers of ethinic Chinese by each country. Please build consensus in talk page before any further reversion, thank you. LVTW2 (talk) 04:58, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, Chinese people is not an ethnicity. Please see the Koreans page. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Koreans. It’s the same reason why the US is not on the top column. Again, these columns has been around for a long time and it is you who keep adding Singapore in to the top column. changes to a weird “Singaporeans not belonging to overseas Chinese” claim is without broader consensus; and the consensus that Han Chinese outside of PRC and ROC are Chinese diaspora and fundamentally different from Han Chinese in their home country (PRC/ROC) Thanks. Taekhosong (talk) 07:42, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is your own problem of confusion between the concept of ethnicity (Han Chinese) and nationality (Chinese people), as you start mentioning Chinese then I recommend you to do some reserch for the concepts between 中国人,华人, and 汉人. Similar to the case you gave by "Koreans", they also have a concept in distinguish by " Joseonjok" and "Hanminjok", or the concept between Yamato people (ethnicity) and Japanese people (nationality). Again, Han Chinese means the race, the ethnicity, not nationality as "Chinese people". LVTW2 (talk) 07:56, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and this article is always about the ethnicity. It is you who raises the issue and started engaging in a editing war for no good reason. And Overseas Chinese people is treated as an ethnicity in Wikipedia which is equivalent to Overseas Han Chinese people. Taekhosong (talk) 08:02, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

First of all you told me "Chinese" is not an ethnicity then you conclude again the article "is always about the ethnicity"? Isn't that I have already told you in the first place? Your confusion between those different concepts I have explained blatantly to you in previous comments, but you are just persistently beat around the bush and repeat the words I have said. LVTW2 (talk) 08:58, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, I have report the behaviour to violate three rever rule. See what their ultimate decision is. Period.LVTW2 (talk) 09:00, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese is not an ethnicity and this page is about Han Chinese which is an ethnicity. If you keep this disrupting behavior by changing this page’s original form you will be sanctioned by the three reverts rule. Taekhosong (talk) 17:34, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, go ahead. The history of the edit page shows that you are the one to dispute the content page at first before I did. You can go to the same process or even report me as you want, but you seem not going to reach any "consensus" with me about whatever I said and keep on persistently reverting other editors' work.. I already told you that the categories are unnecessary in the sense of ethnicity, other similar pages only rank them by total numbers. LVTW2 (talk) 18:44, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is you who disrupted the page by making this edit https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1052572985 on Oct 29. I was merely keeping reverting it back to its original form. Taekhosong (talk) 19:13, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also please refer to pages like Koreans and Armenians which even prioritizes home country with actual number. In our case the two Chinese states (PRC and ROC) as the page has been written before October. Taekhosong (talk) 19:15, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just FYI "Taiwan is part of the greater China homeland whereas Singapore is a foreign land where the Han immigrant happens to be majority" is a racist PRC talking point not a factual statement. Please avoid such overt displays of Han chauvinism or other forms of ethnic chauvinism such as white supremacy. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 15:16, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It’s based on a fact that both Taiwan and mainland China call themselves something “of China” (either PRC or ROC) where Singaporeans don’t. Unlike white supremacists, when was the last time mainland Chinese commits genocide against the Taiwanese? Taekhosong (talk) 06:02, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The indigenous people of Taiwan are the Taiwanese indigenous peoples not the Han... Remember that Han settlement on Taiwan only happened after European colonialists wiped out many of the indigenous cultures and gave their land to Han settlers which they imported as cheap labor. The Han are no more indigenous to Taiwan than they are to Jamaica, in both cases their presence is the result of European colonialism. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 15:06, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Who said the Taiwanese has to be the Han Chinese on Taiwan? Are you trying to imply aborigines aren’t Taiwanese? Who’s the real Han Chauvinist here? Also, the main genocide against Taiwanese aborigines were committed by the Japan during its colonial rule of Taiwan. Taekhosong (talk) 06:55, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
