License tagging for Image:J.k..jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:J.k..jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please use the 'Edit summary'

[edit]

When you add a new language tag, the convention is to mark the edit as minor and fill in the edit summary to indicate that you're just adding a language tag, for example: '+bat-smg'. Thanks. -- Jim Douglas 18:36, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

English Help

[edit]

Not that I particularly mind helping you or anything, i was just wondering before i did why you chose me? --KaoBear(talk) 12:12, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tadas! I found your request for help on your English essay while reading the user page of an editor who edited one of my articles. Just for fun, decided to rewrite it. Since I understand that your English is basic, I'll try to explain my changes as simple as possible.
I'd just like to let you know that I grouped your sentences according to ideas. For example, all sentences about school go together, all sentences about work go together, and everything else go in the same group (or paragraph). This makes your essay easier to understand.
Here's how I would have rewritten your essay---hope this helps :) The words or phrases in parentheses are other suggested wordings or some comments I have, so you don't need to include them in your final essay:
We are all thinking about our future. I think we all imagine that our future will be good. And I believe that my future will be good, too.
In one years' time, I hope to finish ten classes; next summer, I will have my exams (or examinations). I believe that my marks will be better. I will have finished school (high school? grade school?) in five years' time. By then, I'll be studying in a university.
I would also like to have my own job, hopefully a good-paying job, although I don't know yet what job I would like to be working with. I would also like to have my own family and my own house in ten years' time.
By that time, I may be playing the accordion well and may be reading more books. I may also have travelled around (or throughout) Europe in ten years' time.
Finally, I believe that my life will be wonderful.
Do let me know what you think of this. I'd be happy to hear from you :) --- Tito Pao 21:13, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tadas12, i'm confused about the name of "Šatrijos Ragana" - in the article she's called "Marija Pečkauskaitė - Šatrijos Ragana". Are the first two words the pen name? --Roterraecher (only german user page) 21:55, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Šatrijos Ragna is her password, Marija Pečkauskaitė is her real name Tadas12 15:56, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ramunas Butautas.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ramunas Butautas.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:Sidikai.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sidikai.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:New reactors going to Mazeikiu Nafta.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:New reactors going to Mazeikiu Nafta.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:07, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Telsiai Priest seminary.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 03:59, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your notice. Telsiai Priest Seminary photo is my own work, which I copied from Lithuanian wiki, because I don't have original photo in my PC. I don't know what licence there should be so if you can exchange the licence please, which I had wrote. Thank you Tadas12 (talk)

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Tadas12! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Antanas Sireika - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
