Notice of Community Sanctions

[edit]

Given that your first edit was in this area, you should be aware of the following. This does not imply any wrongdoing.

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has enacted a more stringent set of rules. Any administrator may impose sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Thank you EvergreenFir. TacticalTweaker (talk) 22:42, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
EvergreenFir, are you not participating in the COVID-19 origins discussion any further? TacticalTweaker (talk) 21:27, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"Real life" is taking up all my attention at the moment. I'll participate as I can. EvergreenFir (talk) 00:46, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Other accounts?

[edit]

Asking again, have you edited under any past accounts? If so, which ones? ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 22:18, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Who are you and why do you ask? TacticalTweaker (talk) 18:20, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite block

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am not a "sock puppet" of ScrupulousScribe. We are RL friends (we live near each other) and he mentioned this conversation in our RL conversations and I decided to weigh in. His block should not bar me from creating my own account and contributing to Wikipedia. I don't mind to confirm my identity to an administrator by email or phone call. If I have broken any Wikipedia rules, please inform me, and I will rectify. TacticalTweaker (talk) 18:19, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Editing on behalf of a blocked editor and recruiting friends to support your talking points are against our rules. We have no way of knowing who's sitting in front of a computer, so if you make the same arguments as a blocked editor, you'll probably end up blocked, too. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:01, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
