The Alternative Board® (TAB) is an international, invitation-only membership organization providing peer advisory boards and business coaching for leaders of small and medium-sized businesses. It was founded in 1990 by Allen E. Fishman.
The Alternative Board® trains and certifies corporate executives, entrepreneurs and business consultants with at least seven years of senior-level business experience to facilitate peer advisory boards. These boards are monthly group meetings of owners, CEOs and presidents of local, privately owned companies. TAB Board meetings operate in a confidential, "think tank" atmosphere where members can present challenges and opportunities to one another for seasoned, practical advice.
Additionally, TAB members receive private coaching from their facilitator, who is also a trained and certifed executive coach. Using TAB's proprietary tools and processes, the coach works with individual members and their companies on how to strategically lead their companies to greater success--however the member defines it.
