Nadia Ali
[edit]In follow up of your post here, the easiest way to get new/different photos into the Nadia Ali article is to upload them into commons.wikimedia.org. Once there, the photos can be linked directly from the Nadia Ali article. Once you upload the Nadia Ali to commons.wikimedia.org, let me know and I will add them to the Nadia Ali article. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 04:47, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]- Hello, TWolosin. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Nadia Ali, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:59, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Nadia Ali
[edit]Hi TWoloson, just saw your message on the Nadia Ali talk page. I am happy to help out with posting a new photo. If you can give me your email address, I'll send you a release form to be signed and dated by the copyright holder so that the image can be released into public domain and uploaded on Nadia's page. Cheers! MHDH (talk) 01:51, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Updating Nadia Ali's Wikipage
[edit]Hi Uzma, I have received the proper licensing and picture to upload to Nadia's profile. However, when I try to upload the photo to wikimedia commons I consistently get this error:
Fantasy Cover Image1 of Nadia Ali.jpg
There was another file already on the site with the same content, but it was deleted.
What can I do to get around this? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by TWolosin (User talk:TWolosin • contribs) 20:00, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi TWolosin. I don't see any deleted file named "Fantasy Cover Image1 of Nadia Ali.jpg" at Commons,[1][2] so I'm not sure what the error is. To get around the error, try renaming the file before uploading it to Commons. Although you received the proper licenseing, Commons itself needs to receive the proper licensing. MHDH has done the most work on the Nadia Ali page.[3] User:MHDH can help you as well. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 05:59, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
