Edit warring notice

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jesus. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Adakiko (talk) 10:56, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

May 2022 edit warring

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Saint Thomas Christians shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Repeated failure to engage in the discussion process and violation of 3RR will often result in a disciplinary action. Please refer to Talk:Saint Thomas Christians and undo your violating edit. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:01, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Every single one of your edits seems to be either a violation of copyright law (all your images are falsely labelled as "own work" when they are sourced from Google Maps) or some sort of standards violation (namely WP:3RR). You're a very new editor attempting to perform complex tasks, and I would encourage you to start on smaller projects. There are very helpful guidelines available on this page: Wikipedia:Five pillars. Please reach out if you have questions. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:29, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @TRHmTivl: You have violated the WP:3RR again despite multiple warnings. Please revert your edits on Saint Thomas Christians, as I would be glad to have to discuss the matter further. Additionally, on your draft page, multiple significant issues were discovered—including but not limited to the use of copyrighted text and images. The reintroduction of those things can result in another form of disciplinary action. Please ping me if you have a question about how that works. ~ Pbritti (talk) 14:26, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@TRHmTivl: Please remove the copyrighted sentence from your draft, as well as undo your other edit warring. Additionally, your sources for your draft are very much not WP:Reliable Sources (though making your own Google Docs and claiming they're sources is…clever?). Please remove them and delete the uncited material. Failure to acknowledge these warnings is inappropriate behavior. ~ Pbritti (talk) 15:18, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at Saint Thomas Christians. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 20:53, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23: I would encourage further review of the editor's actions after the block expired, including an edit war on George Alencherry (see diffs 1, 2, 3, 4). ~ Pbritti (talk) 19:37, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbritti: If you believe that TRH violated WP:EW, you should file a report at WP:ANEW. If you believe that the problem is broader than that given the user's history, you should a report at WP:ANI. I have not investigated myself.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:10, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Benedict Gregorios, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hello, I'm Lol1VNIO. I noticed that in this edit to Semen, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~~ lol1VNIO (I made a mistake? talk to mecontribs) 08:13, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It has vulgar content. It's only about semen and not about sexual acts and lewd practices done with semen. TRHmTivl (talk) 08:15, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Semen. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. See wp:NOTCENSORED. If it bothers you, I would suggest avoiding such topics. Adakiko (talk) 08:21, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Baselios Cleemis. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Serols (talk) 15:34, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Kizhakkevila Mathunny Panicker

[edit]

I have moved this to draft as there are no referenced or citations and the information can not be verified. Please improve the article before returning to Mainspace.Slywriter (talk) 01:25, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kizhakkevila Mathunny Panicker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.

You wrongly included notes stating you had added references and sources to the page following your move of the page from the draft space it had been placed in. Those edits included neither new sources. Only current reference is a link to. a family-made website that contains none of the information on the page. ~ Pbritti (talk) 01:48, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reach out to me on my talk page; you clearly know a lot about Keralan Christian history and I really want you to succeed, but there is a process to this all. If you need a week to make a page, consider doing it in your sandbox (you can see how I did one myself with this example User:Pbritti/Sandbox/Book of Common Prayer (1662)). The main space is not the place for articles that lack proper attribution, and you should not write your own sources (as you have done previously). I will gladly help research the topic of this article with you. ~ Pbritti (talk) 01:57, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@TRHmTivl: I can see you in real time add material to the blog you set up. Using a blog you have written as a source is equally bad as using Google Docs you wrote as a source (which you attempted on a previous draft). ~ Pbritti (talk) 03:24, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kizhakkevila-Thundil Family moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kizhakkevila-Thundil Family, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read!
