Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 16:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My account was blocked due to a name that did not represent me as an individual and want to change it in order to make edits

Decline reason:

Your username has been changed, which resolves that issue. However, the purpose you describe is considered promotional here, you don't have to be soliciting or selling something. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company wants to say about itself or what it considers to be its own history. A Wikipedia article about a company must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. For example, Ford Motor Company does not summarize what Ford considers to be its history, but what independent sources say is its history. Since you indicate you are only intersted in further editing about your company, there are no grounds to remove the block, and as such I am declining your request. If you wish to edit about topics other than your company or anything related to your COI, please tell what those might be. Feel free to show your superiors this message. 331dot (talk) 20:18, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I receive compensation from TELCOR Inc for attempting to create their Wikipedia page
  • I understand why I was blocked due to my username being titled as the organization and putting content that could be deemed promotional on the affected article. My goal is not to promote TELCOR but to provide an article on the history of the company and what they currently do in the healthcare field and allowing it to be informational to those readers interested. I plan on completely changing the content to match Wikipedia guidelines.
  • I plan to contribute useful information on healthcare-related pages specifically in regards to laboratory services and point of care. Following my unblocking I plan to rewrite the entire article to fit Wikipedia guidelines and work until it gets published.
