Speedy deletion nomination of Scratch Saga (Animated series)

[edit]

Hello TANAZ2007,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Scratch Saga (Animated series) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, TANAZ2007, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Scratch Saga (Animated series), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Dom from Paris (talk) 11:48, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Scratch Saga (Animated series), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dom from Paris (talk) 05:39, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see I moved the article to draft space as an alternative to asking for deletion again because you still haven't added any sources that talk about this series. This is what is needed to show notability. You need to find other sources that say something about this series. If you can't then that means it is not notable enough to have a page on Wikipedia. Dom from Paris (talk) 05:45, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@DomdeParis:I understand. I will improve the draft until it is ready. TANAZ2007 (talk) 13:19, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. I deleted WazooTV because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines for creative professionals. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the subject, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him or his management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. There were no references of any kind.
  • There is nothing in what you wrote to suggest that he meets the notability criteria linked above, anyone can make on-line videos, and even if they were referenced the viewing figures are irrelevant to the notability criteria. Looks like an amateur hobbyist rather than a professional anyway
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: well known... funny animations.... has over 13,000 followers
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections. That's particularly the case when they are spamlinks to affiliated sites.
  • If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. You will note that the original creator of that article is indefinitely blocked. Your contributions are limited to an article about a film made by him. Are you the same person as WazooTV?

I moved your Scratch Saga draft to the correct title, Draft:Scratch Saga, and removed all the spam links and "References" which were bare urls linking to affiliated sites rather than independent third party sources. I was tempted to delete it, but I'll give you a chance to find independent verifiable sources to show that it meets the notability guidelines for films. Your draft article, Draft:Scratch Saga

[edit]

Hello, TANAZ2007. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Scratch Saga".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 01:18, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MS Guides moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, MS Guides, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published.
