Please Help

[edit]

Dear sir,

I am not trying to promote a commercial operation in my links (i.e. to Bread). I spent a long time digitizing for free download these books for the gutenberg project, and, after hearing on the radio Wikipedia's need for citation, am trying to make sure these books are as easily accessible as possible. I earn $0 from linking people to the books. Should I upload the books to Wikipedia and then cite? How should I cite? Please respond to me soon, as I wish to be as helpful as possible.

Loop redirect

[edit]

Yep, I know, I'm going through a list of redirects right now, since I've merged a few articles just now. -- Ned Scott 07:13, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aaaah, oops, now I see what you meant. It's fixed now. *smacks head* -- Ned Scott 07:16, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

apologies

[edit]

Sorry you didn't find the cable information "notable". Perhaps if you personally had spent the time building all the instrument and speaker cables for the Astoria, home studio and On an Island tour you might feel otherwise.

It is all I do in my garage, but I do it well, and it means a lot to me and the musicians who use my products. I suppose you have to experience it to understand.

If my link was to "commercial" I apologize. It was my first contribution to Wikipedia.

I tried just a general listing without a link under the effects section but that was killed as well.

It seemed to me that all the work I have done in support of the recording and tour of On an Island (and for Live 8) is/was as notable as some of the other effects listed. Heck, if I spent some time I could actually make corrections to obvious errors on the page instead of just adding a small contribution. But I guess I don't know enough to help. I'll just get back to my work now. David needs more cables.

Cheers

If you revert, make sure you're reverting ALL the vandalism, from ALL offenders. Robin Williams. Just reverting to the latest version is lazy. 35.12.22.230 21:36, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status

[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
