Nizamuddin
[edit]Hi Syed. I've notice that you have added a lot of info on the Nizamuddin article. Thanks for that. Do you have any information on the only other disciple(made into a khalifa) of Baba Farid who in turn had just 1 disciple, as contrasted with Nizamuddin. He started the Chisti Saabri order. I have been trying to find information on him for some time. My ultimate aim is to write a Sufism in India article with a summary of all the Sufi orders in India, their customs etc. Perhaps you could help with that. Also I've noticed that you tend to add R.A. (which I guess stands for Radhiallahu 'anhu) at the end of the names of the Sufi saints. While appreciating the due respect which you are showing, I think that you should know that this violates a wikipedia policy (Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(Islam-related_articles)#Islamic_honorifics). In fact even the word Muhammad is not supposed to be followed with any honorofic such as pbuh/saw on wikipedia. Cheers--Shahab (talk) 06:10, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- The name I was looking for was Alauddin Sabir Kaliyari. Cheers--Shahab (talk) 16:20, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Titles
[edit]Wikipedia:MOSISLAM prohibits the usage of style titles such as Sayyid, Syed, Hazrat, Hadhrat, etc. Ogress smash! 13:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for adding the link to Ijazah, I've been trying for a while to figure out the meaning of those bits tagged as needing translation, those were the last ones I couldn't get :)--Jac16888 Talk 22:15, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
